GIRL: Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! Glad to see you at our European contest dedicated to Christmas Day! European Christmas Song Contest takes place in Britain, France, Italy and other countries at Christmas. Children and grown-ups sing Christmas songs, have fun and relax. So wellcome to the European Christmas Song Contest!

BOY: Christmas Day, Happy Day!

We are all glad and very gay!

We all dance and sing and say,

Wellcome, wellcome Christmas Day!

SONG: “ Jingle Bells”(performed by a group of children)

Dashing througt the show.

In a one horse o pen sleigh?

O’er the fields we go? laughing all the way.

Bells on bob-tails ring?

Making spirits bright,

What fun it is to ride and sing a sleigh-ing song tonight.

Jingle bells! Jingle bells! Jingle all the way!

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleight!

Jingle bells! Jingle bells! Jingle all the way!

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleight!

BOY: The Christmas season is also a good time to sing songs, have fun, be merry and gay.

GIRL: We invite you to have fun, enjoy and relax with our finalists. Greet Dasha with the song «Chained To The Rhythm»

GIRL: Certainly you want to know more about our participants. That’s why we want them to answer our questions:

  • Do you like Christmas?

BOY: Well, our contest has begun. Greet our next participant Ivan!!! He will sing the song ”Stranger in the night ”

  • How are you?

  • What are you going to present your family with?

BOY: Christmas customs are centuries old. The Christmas tree, for example, has been traditionally been used to celebrate winter festivals for thousands of years.

GIRL: And nowadays Christmas tree is the main decoration in every house.

SONG: “Oh, Christmas tree” (performed by a group of children)

Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree

How lovely are your brunches!

Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree

How lovely are your brunches!

In summer sun or winter snow

A golden green you always show

Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree

How lovely are your brunches!

BOY: Meet two ladies Arina and Kristina! They will sing the song “Radioactive”

  • Tell us please, do you like winter?

  • How do you usually spend your Christmas holidays?

Girl: Now let’s meet Ann with her song “Last Christmas”.

Girl: Our next participants, Arina and Dasha, will sing the song “She’s got it”!

  • Girls, do you like Christmas?

  • Would you like to spend your Christmas holidays in Great Britain?

BOY: And now, Dasha, you are welcome with your song “Cheri lady”

G: Vika (Karina), tell me what is your favorite Christmas tradition?

B: I enjoy visiting my friends and relatives during my Christmas holidays.

G: Great! You know, Christmas is the biggest holiday of the year and the one many people – especially children – enjoy the most. Children like feasting and giving gifts and singing songs.

B- G: And we wish you a Merry Christmas!

SONG: “Merry Christmas” (performed by a group of children)

We wish you a merry Christmas;

We wish you a merry Christmas;

We wish you a merry Christmas

and a happy New Year!

Corus:

Good tidings we bring

to you and your kin

We wish you a merry Christmas (или «Good tidings for Christmas»)

and a happy New Year!

Now, bring us some figgy pudding;

now, bring us some figgy pudding;

Now, bring us some figgy pudding

and bring some out here!

Corus:

For we all like figgy pudding;

for we all like figgy pudding;

For we all like figgy pudding:

so bring some out here!

Corus:

And we won't go until we've got some;

We won't go until we've got some;

And we won't go until we've got some;

so bring some out here!
