обучающихся 10-11 классов.
Оборудование: ноутбуки, мультимедийный проектор, музыкальные инструменты,
декорации.
Аннотация
Методическая разработка внеклассного мероприятия на английском языке по
теме «Лучшие из лучших» предназначена для обучающихся 10-11 классов для
формирования социокультурной компетенции обучающихся о странах изучаемого языка и дальнейшего развития иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции.
Выбор темы, формы и подбор материала для внеклассного мероприятия по английскому
языку обусловлены её актуальностью и современным наполнением учебных пособий, где
обязательно включены достижения известных людей и даже подростков в различных
областях искусства, литературы на всех ступенях изучения английского языка.
Данная методическая разработка будет полезна преподавателям английского языка,
которые заинтересованы в проектной методике и совместно с детьми работают над
разными типами проектов. Данный сценарий представляет собой одну из форм(концерт)
итогового занятия работы над творческими, сценарными, издательскими, музыкальными
проектами, включая проект-драматизация.

-Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, our dear teaches and quests! We are glad to welcome you
to our English show: “The Best of the Best”. It is devoted to the winners of theatrical and singing
contests.
-Dear friends, we are going to take you on an exciting journey through different genres. We will
focus on the most popular TV programs, ceremonies, contests and shows presented by the
students of our gymnasium.
-You will hear some English songs, poems and enjoy the scenes from the famous performances,
dialogues, interviews with well-known people and even dancing.
-You know the Academy Awards, more known as the Oscars, are awards for artistic and
technical merit in the film industry. But our Oscar is given as an international recognition of
popularity. Let’s greet the winners of the contest «The best Ceremony Show».

Вед. 1: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! Today we are pleased to welcome you in our
beautiful and cozy hall in an annual awards ceremony to recognize excellence in linguistic
achievements. The various category winners will be awarded a copy of a statuette, which has
become commonly known by its nickname "Gold Oscar."
Вед. 2: And now let’s open our festival devoted to the beauty of the languages!
So we say “Welcome to our ceremony!”
Вед. 1: There are a lot of beautiful and tuneful languages in the world. We admire their melody,
phonation and rich vocabulary.
Вед. 2: Today we’ll hear which language is the winner in three nominations: «The most
tuneful», « The most beautiful» and « The most widespread language».
Вед. 1: Our candidates are the Cheshirsky language, the Malioksky language, and the English
language. Which of them is the winner? Let’s open and see. (Open the envelopes) So, the most
tuneful language is English! (applause)

English: I am so grateful to you that I am generally recognized the best of the best! You know
that poems, songs, words of love, dreams are sounded in English. I am everywhere: in the streets,
on TV, on the radio, in the Internet, on the Earth and even in Space!

Вед. Here is our festival over. It`s time to say “Good- bye!” But before to do it, we say “Thank
you to you, our dear spectators of the festival and all who were with us all the time”.

- You’ve recited one of wonderful Shakespeare’s sonnets.
- You’ re right. But how much do we know about its author?
- The last half of the 16 and the beginning of the 17 centuries are known as the Golden Age of
English literature and it is even called” The Age of Shakespeare".
(на экран проецируется портрет У. Шекспира.) We speak about t the greatest and the most
famous of English writers and probably, the greatest playwright who has ever lived, William
Shakespeare.
- In spite of Shakespeare’s fame, we know very little about his life because he didn’t write any
diaries. But it’s true to fact that he was born on the 23 of April, 1564 in Stratford- on- Avon, a
small town in the center of Great Britain.

- Shakespeare lived in Stratford until he was about 21. Then he left for London. In London
William joined a group of actors. The famous Globe Theatre was the centre of London‘s
theatrical life. (на экран проецируются виды театра «Глобус»). Shakespeare played on its
stage and wrote plays for this theatre
-As you know, W. Shakespeare was an actor, a poet and a dramatist at the same time. All in all,
he wrote 37 plays, 2 poems and 154 sonnets where he showed his creative genius.
-Speaking about his famous tragedies these are “Hamlet”, “King Lear”, “Othello”. “Romeo and
Juliet”, I think, is one of his best plays. It’s a tragedy but it is full of love, youth and humanism.
-Shakespeare’s tragedy tells about the passionate love of a young man and a girl from two
warring families of Verona-Montagues and Capulets. Juliet dreams aloud of Romeo. Romeo
comes to her balcony and hears the speech. He answers her with a fervent confession. Under
cover of night, young people give each other an oath of love and fidelity.
- Our next participants, the winners of the theatrical contest, will act out a scene from this

- Let's interrupt our scene here. There are many sad stories about love, but this one is known all
over the world.
- Love … This topic is one of the oldest and probably most discussed issues in history. Lots of
people love, hope, believe…listen or sing about love.
l- Me too. It’s a way to distract from daily routine and to plunge intro dreamland.
-One of the most famous and loved British bands “The Beatles” performed a lot of songs
devoted to love. Let’s enjoy the most well-known of them: «Yesterday » by the winners of the
singing and live music contest. (слайд группы “The Beatles”)

-Our generation is a new era of energy and change, a world of endless possibilities and
imagination. Greet the best representatives of this Radioactive generation.

-Francis Albert Sinatra (December 12, 1915, Hoboken, new Jersey-May 14, 1998, Los Angeles)
was an American film actor, film Director, producer, showman, singer. He won the Grammy
award eleven times. He was famous for his romantic style of singing and "velvet" timbre of his

- In the twentieth century, Sinatra became a legend not only in the music world, but in every
aspect of American culture. Sinatra's singing career began in the 1930s, and by the end of his life
he was considered the standard of musical style.
-It’s time to enter the world of a popular Sinatra ‘song «Chicago» performed by senior students.

- Quentin Tarantino is an American Film Director, screenwriter, actor, film producer and
cinematographer. One of the most prominent representatives of postmodernism in cinema.

- Tarantino’s films are characterized by a nonlinear structure of the narrative, a rethinking of the
cultural and historical process. He gained world popularity after the film" Pulp fiction",
- Which brought him a lot of awards, even for best screenplay. Now we present you the winners
of the most popular TV program about celebrities. We are in the studio with Ivan Urgant who is
interviewing Quentin Tarantino.

Ivan: Quentin, good morning, we welcome you at our studio. It’s not your first time you are here.
How are you doing?
Q: Good morning, Ivan. I’m OK, thank you. How are you?
I: Fine, thanks. I’d like to ask you several questions about your life and your carrier.
Q: I’ve been informed. I know your program me is very popular in Russia, am I right?
I: Yes, exactly. We interview people our viewers are interested in. As you understand, they’re
mainly famous people.
Q: I see, let’s start then. I’m all ears.
I: First of all, we’d like to know where and when you were born.
Q: My roots are American. I come from Tennessee. As for my date of birth, I was born on the 27
of March, 1963.
I: Which city exactly do you come from? Many of your fans would like to know that.
Q: I come from Knoxville. It was the first capital of the state (It was named after Henry Knox, a
military minister. It is a truly unique city.)
I: Now let’s talk about your career. What are you plans?
Q: I’m going to make 10 films in my career and I’m already thinking of what I’ll do next.
I: Are you serious?
Q: I’ve already shot 9 movies and only 1 left.
I: Why, Quentin?
Q: I just want to stay at the peak of my career and continue in a different direction.
I: And what do you plan to do?
Q: I’m thinking of writing novels. I also want to write plays for the theatre. That’s what I’m most
interested in right now.
I: We know that you gained worldwide fame after the film “Pulp fiction” which brought you the
Palme d’or at the Cannes film festival, as well as the Academy awards and “Golden globe” for
the best screenplay.
Q: The film was a turning point in the career of many actors. Uma Thurman, whom I compare
with Marlene Dietrich and call "my Clint Eastwood is among the leading actresses in
Hollywood, and John Travolta returned there after the unsuccessful 80s for himself. Both were
nominated for an Oscar.
I: Let’s enjoy one of the scene of this movie where Vincent Vega (John Travolta ) and Mia
Wallas ( Uma Thurman ) dance the twist during a dance competition.

Our participants are very talented in various fields of art. They are screenwriters, cameramen and
even actors. It’s not a secret that we use idioms in our everyday life. But do we always
understand their meaning? Let’s watch some video clips made by the students of the 11 th form.
