The very first and most important holiday is Knowledge Day, it is celebrated on September 1. It is from him that every child's school journey begins. Traditionally, on this day, a ruler is held at the school, students put on their dress uniforms and prepare speeches, principals and teachers say parting words. This holiday is especially important for the first, ninth and eleventh grades. First graders will hear their first bell, and eleventh graders and students who leave after 9th grade, on the contrary, will hear their last bell.

Another school holiday is Teacher's Day. On this day, teachers accept flowers and congratulations, watch a concert prepared by students. And also on this holiday, "self-government day" is held in some schools, it consists in the fact that children from high school conduct lessons instead of teachers.

Schools also celebrate February 23 and March 8. On Defender of the Fatherland Day, gifts and congratulations are accepted by boys, and on International Women's Day – by girls.

Maslenitsa can be attributed to school holidays. Very often, contests and festivities are organized on the school grounds, and then it ends with a class hour, where a tea party with pancakes takes place.
