The Politics of Russia

The President is the head of state and is elected every six years. The  original 1  constitution had four-year presidential terms, but this  was amended 2  to six years by parliament late in 2008.

The head of government is the Prime Minister. He organizes the work of the government. The  Council of Ministers 3  helps him.

The  Federal Assembly 4  of Russia is the Parliament of Russia.

It consists of the  State Duma 5   (the lower House) and the  Federation Council 6  (the upper House).

The Council isn’t elect ed. It consists of representative s of Russia’s federal  entities 7  – each has two. The 450  deputies 8  of the State Duma   are elected each five years.

The Constitutional Court has the right to declare actions of the President, the Federal Assembly and the Federal Government unconstitutional.

There are over 30 political parties in Russia. The largest political party in the Russian Federation, the "party in power"- party Yedinaya Rossia.

• GREEN-Я удовлетворен уроком. Урок был полезен для меня. Я с пользой и хорошо работал на уроке. Я понимал все, о чем говорилось и что делалось на уроке.
• YEllOW-Урок был интересен. Я принимал в нем участие. Урок был в определенной степени полезен для меня. Я отвечал с места, выполнил ряд заданий. Мне было на уроке достаточно комфортно.
• Red-Пользы от урока я получил мало. Я не очень понимал, о чем идет речь. Мне это не нужно. К ответу на уроке я был не готов.
