Let’s read a poem

Santa Clause стучит к нам в дверь:

Open, open – поскорей!

Ему дети говорят:

«Please, come in»  

Он очень рад.

Видит он, а Christmas tree,

И гирлянды, и шары.

А, на самом на верху, видит он

А star – звезду.

Do you like it?

Yes, I do.

Merry Christmas to you!

Listen and repeat:

[t] – fancy cos t umes,

  [e] – c e l e brate, 

[ei] – holid ay ,  

[ai] – inv i te.

Open the brackets using Past Simple.

Yesterday we (celebrate) the New Year.

We (decorate) a New Year tree and (sing) the songs, (dance) to music and (play) games near the New Year tree.

My mother (cook) tasty food. I (set) the table and (wash) the dishes.

I (get) many gifts.

Now let’s check.

Правила чтения буквы Uu

• Если слог открытый буква Uu будет читаться так же как и в алфавите со звуком [ ju ] .
• Если слог закрытый, буква Uu читается со звуком [^] .
• В сочетании с буквой r букву Uu следует читать как звук [ з: ] .
