We start our lesson. The theme of our lesson is “Getting ready for the travelling”

• Do you like to travel?

But before travelling you need to get ready for your journey. Today we shall speak about the places you have been to and you have never been to. We”ll make a journey around the world.

Look at the blackboard and read the words:

• Continents: Europe, Asia, Australia, North America, South America, Africa, Antarctica.

• Countries: Belarus, Russia, Spain, Germany, Egypt, Spain, France, the United Kingdom

• Oceans: the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean

• Rivers: the Nile, the Dnieper, the Neman, the Prypyat, the Thames

• Lakes: Lake Baikal, the Narach,

• Mountains: the Himalayas, the Urals

1. Read the poem and fill in the gaps: been, travelled, seen

-Have you ever … Tahiti?

-Never, never! What a pity?

-Have you ever … to Chile?

-Never, never, never, really.

-Have you ever … far?

-Only once, we went by car.

-Have you ever wanted to?

-Always! What about you?

1. Read the questions.

2. Listen and check yourselves.

3. Read the poem and answer the questions.

Are you a well-travelled person? Have you ever travelled far? Tell us about the places you have been to or have never been to. Use the Present Perfect . Revise the rule first. Давайте повторим грамматическое правило «The Present Perfect Tense»

3. Как образуется 3-я форма глагола,

4. отрицательное, вопросительное предложение?

Speak about yourselves.

Now we shall read the conversation between John and his mother. They are getting ready for the travelling.

1. First of all we need some new words:

• To pack a suitcase;

• Just;

• To take (camera, book, trainers, T-shirt, toys, shorts, food, trousers, pet, bike…)

1. Ex. 1 p. 38 answer the questions;

Use the words mentioned above;

1. Ex.2 p. 38 Let’s role-play the dialogue;

2. Ex. 3 p. 39 Look through the conversation again. Correct the false statements.

Exercise 1. Nick is getting ready for travelling. He is going to visit his Granny. Read the list of things he must do before travelling. Write what he has done and what he hasn’t done.
