Урок английского языка, посвящённый Великой Отечественной войне и Дню Победы.

Цель: развивать чувство патриотизма, гордости за прошлое своей Родины.

Задачи:

• вызвать чувство гордости подвигами, совершенными советскими людьми в годы Великой Отечественной войны; 

• развивать интерес к историческим фактам и событиям

Материал: распечатанные карточки для детей со стихотворением и текстом.

Ход урока.

1. Этап мотивации.

Hello children! Look at this poem. Read and translate it. What do you think the poem about? Look at the date, what happened that year? (Перевод: Здравствуйте дети! Посмотрим на это стихотворение, прочитаем и переведем его. Как вы думаете, о чем оно? Посмотрите на дату, что случилось в этом году?)

When I see the falling bombs

Tell me please, what big day do we celebrate this week? (Какой праздник мы отмечаем на этой неделе?)

Correct! As you know this week, we celebrate Victory Day. What is so special about this day? (Мы отмечаем День Победы. Что особенного в этом дне?)

People fought for that moment of sweet Victory. It was very tough and tragic.

We should not forget those acts of bravery. (Люди сражались за Победу. Это было очень тяжело и трудно. Мы не должны забывать этот героизм и смелость)

The Great Patriotic War

The Great Patriotic War is an emotional distress for many people. It’s hard to find a family in our country which didn’t lose somebody in this war.

The tragic event started in 1941 in June and lasted for almost four years. The 9th of May, 1945 is considered to be the end of the war. Each year Russian people celebrate this day as a Victory Day parade, fireworks and concerts.

The Great Patriotic War was the most horrible war in human history. Thousands of soldiers have died, leaving their children and wives. Even 13 or 14 year old children were in this war. People sacrificed their lives to save the country, to save their comrades and families.

Today every family keeps and honors the photos of their ancestors, who fought at that war. It’s been more than 60 years ago, but people still remember this global event.

Russian people suffered a lot during these four years. To think about the situation in Leningrad, when citizens had to stay strong for nine hundred days and defend the city. People had to survive the cold, the hunger, sleepless nights, the bombardments.
