Технологии. Использование средств массовой информации.

Цель: Развитие у обучающихся навыков монологической и диалогической речи по теме.

Задачи обучающие: Развивать навыки говорения по теме, извлечения основной информации из текста. Пополнить и активизировать лексический запас. Актуализировать знания по теме фразовые глаголы.

Задачи развивающие: Развивать способность мыслить критически, развивать память и воображение, развивать учебно-познавательные способности, уметь высказывать собственное мнение по проблеме, умение работать в группе.

Задачи воспитательные: Воспитывать культуру общения и уважения к собеседнику.

Good morning! How are you? I hope you are OK! Let’s start our lesson. What’s the weather like today?

Определение темы и цели урока учащимися.

Introduction to the module.

T:How to translate the title ? What would you like to learn in this module? What’s the topic of our lesson. Right you are, the topic of our lesson today is « technology and modern means of communication.”

What do you associate with the word TECHNOLOGY?

Let’s create the cluster.


Answer the questions

1. What are gadgets?

2. What are they for?

3. Why do we need them?

4. What gadgets have you got? (a computer /notebook /a mobile phone).

5. How often do you use them?

6. Can you imagine how to do without them?

7. Can they help you to study different subjects and prepare your home assignment?

Your homework was to read and translate texts about British teenagers’ attitude to social media. These texts are from the famous British newspaper – the Guardian. The texts are parts of the article – “ I worried that people would forget about me” can teenagers survive without social media?

As you could understand there was an experiment when teens should switch off their phones. And they are describing their experience.

In the texts you met a lot of new words. Please, look at the screen and match the words to their meaning

Now each group presented us about whom were you reading about and why that person use social media?

Let’s summarize information that each group is presented. Try to say why social media so important and why teenagers use it? And what are the disadvantages there? Make up the table, using facts from the text (the class is divided into two groups, the first one – to find the advantages of using social media, the second one - to find the disadvantages of it)

All right. When you read these articles, you find a lot of different phrasal verbs. Which phrasal verbs have mean «выключать»?

OK, but there are other phrasal verbs. Give me examples. Translate them in the context.

Now let’s return to our article. In these texts teens describing their feelings when they were trying to turn off their phones. Now each group should find positive and negative adjectives characterizing teens’ feelings and write them on the board.

OK. Tell me please, can you just switch off your phones? How will you feel? How will your day be different from a normal day?

Well, its time to end up. I should say, you have done a great job ! Let’s summarize everything you learnt today.
