Форма проведения: страноведческий квиз

Цель: приобщение к общеевропейскому поликультурному пространству и формирование устойчивой потребности к изучению иностранных языков в учебных, личных и профессиональных целях.

Задачи:

Образовательные: формирование социокультурной компетенции учащихся через расширение лингвострановедческого кругозора.

Развивающие: развитие аналитического и логического мышления, расширение кругозора и общеобразовательной компетентности учащихся.

Воспитательные: воспитание толерантного отношения и восприятия европейской культуры, более глубокое осознание родной культуры через контекст иноязычных.

Планируемые результаты: мероприятие позволит углубить и расширить знания учащихся по предмету "иностранный язык"; будет способствовать расширению культурного кругозора, эрудиции школьников, развитию их творческой активности, духовно-нравственной сферы, эстетических вкусов и, как следствие, повысит мотивацию к изучению английского языка, культуры англоязычных стран.

Участники: 2 команды учащихся 9 класса, изучающие английский язык.

Оборудование: универсальный компьютер с выходом в Интернет, мультимедийный проектор; карточки название команд (таблички), цветные карандаши или фломастеры, листы для рисования.

Good morning, dear guests and participants! Today we are going to have a very special competition.

You are going to have a quiz devoted to English - speaking countries. During the game you will have to answer a lot of questions. I’d like you to pay attention to the most difficult and the most interesting questions as well as the easiest one.

Let’s meet our teams. Please, introduce yourself…(команды по очереди говорят свое название)

Now listen to the rules of our quiz. The rules are very simple. The quiz consists of some rounds. All the tasks deal with the English geography, culture, literature and music.

If the team can answer correctly the question, it will get one point. The team which answers the most questions at the end of the game wins.
