“Why I teach English language and some facts of my biography”
I want to write a creative project or work on topic “Why I teach English language and some facts of my biography” because it is hot and livingly to us teachers who always must be young. Please don`t stop reading if you discover that it looks like a rehearsal of the workshop which you see on the mobile of your friend. I am slightly irritating to me. It is true.
I want to write here something from my life and about my family to show the way and reason why I teach English. I return back and write about my grandparents. I was growing up in a city, but much time I spent in the village.
When you have a farm or a garden, where you are able to grow vegetables, fruits, trees, flowers, maybe keep chickens, cows, pigs, you feel happier and fulfilled. A farm-style of life reminds you that you are a sensible and practical human being.
From the other side my grandparents were intelligent and after next active day we all together gathered in the evening with an interesting book, crossword or newspaper. My grandmother was a deputy headmistress of a school where my granddad was a headmaster.
After the Great Patriotic War my grandfather Ivan came back to his village and met my grandmother. They were young but in spite of suggestion to go to live and work in Germany to continue his officer profession , my grandparents decided to stay in Russia and built their own big family. So they entered to our Voronezh State University. They were poor financially like all Russian people after war, but they but rich in character and eager to knowledge. In spite of all difficulties and that they were living in the country far from city and University where they decided to study. And during their studying they coped also with new roles of parents, began to build their own house. My grandmother, Alexandra Vasilevna, became a teacher of geography and history. My grandfather, Vasilii received two educations: first as a biologist and second as a PE teacher and Arts and Crafts teacher. The last two qualifications he received on the same faculty.
Another stage of my life is when I entered to the school and met the teacher who was our class teacher and Arts and Crafts teacher. She was a soft spoken teacher but strict when it needed. She was and is such person who truly and sincerely cares for others. I saw it every day at school and after lessons when she invited me and other pupils to her house. She treated us like friends. With such persons you can feel that the world is full of joy and peace even in the midst of the storms of life! And all pupils did their best to happiness of our class-teacher. Whenever we had problems we were able to come and opened our hearts to our teacher. And we understood that for our own good and for the sake of our own happiness we must not close our hearts door to others and not become like the persons who thinks everyone is not trustworthy! After last bell at the end of school studying she told us “My dear pupils, you will certainly have your heart hurt along life's road! There will be times when you have tried to be a friend and it will, seem like you were betrayed. But there will be many more times when because you accepted others and did your best to trust them that you will experience great joy and happiness. Although there will the times of hurt and sorrow if you do your best to open your heart to others and try to believe that they are doing their best to be a good friend. And remember that at any times you can ask me about everything. Never be angry. Anger would only make you feel bad inside. I find happiness because I accept what I am not able to change. But what I am hoping is that I can help you learn something from the mistakes that I have made that you are a truly happy girls and boys. I hope that you will have a wonderful life! I wish you a heart full of happiness and to feel the love that I know you deserve! ”. It was really enjoyable to have been able to communicate with such teacher those years. We still call each other and go to celebrate her with birthday. She always speaks from her heart words of kindness.
I want to thank my mother that she forced me to study guitar playing at musical school, so I finished two schools and entered to Musical Pedagogical College. I studied 4 years at Teachers Training College and finished it with good and excellent marks. I learnt to be an English teacher of school. Much my relatives from father`s side are teachers or head of school (father have 6 sisters and 1 brother, all my aunts work at school and grandmother and grandfather worked there). When I studied at college it was happy time. My sister Elena was studying with me just at musical faculty. Music in our college was everywhere! Because in every classroom and halls were standing pianos. We had to have every week piano lessons. So I can play on it too. When we were on practice at school I liked to teach children. It is really creative profession because you need create every lesson such way that every pupil must understand and remember. So it is easier to do in game form because it gives them unconsciously perceive information especially with little pupils. I thought up games, painted posters, audio-visual aids, we learn fairy tales and acted it.
So after finishing college I entered to study economics science in Moscow Open Academy. I chose this academy because there was a good possibility to receive two educations at once: an economist and translator in economics science. I received 2 red diploma papers at the end. My favorite teacher there was an English teacher. She was smart and educated professor. I liked her because she was no-nonsense and funny.
I decided to work as an English teacher so. I told myself you can try and then to know if it is your predestination. I devote myself to teaching. I face with different aspects of educational process for teachers, such as program plans, open lessons, competitions and Olympics, teacher`s seminars, courses of higher qualification.
And some words about “Open Lessons”: they are the mastery for every teacher. In this area you are able to show all my teacher`s skills. My understanding of “Open Lessons” was based highly on the Canon handed down to me in my education and I also received very important knowledge regarding it from experience. Each such lesson which I made has been a success for me.
And now that I have several years’ experience in it you can ask me: Why is it a challenge for the teacher? I would like to discuss with you the feelings that a teacher has before “Open Lessons”. There can be a bit of stress for both the children and for the teacher.
Teaching “Open Lesson” with the subject of the English is a rather difficult task for the beginning teacher. At this moment in a class there is a responsibility that gives the teacher some cause for excitement. It is necessary to remember that you must have the accurate plan for the lesson, but it is also impossible to have the lesson executed precisely according to rehearsed script since such lesson will be failure. The basic rule when conducting an “Open Lesson” is to keep within a certain time, namely forty five minutes. The timing of lessons is very important because it is necessary to adhere to the school program which as a rule is more very difficult to accomplish.
But the practice of carrying out such a type of lessons is useful to all. Teachers and teacher’s aides will improve the methods of teaching and pupils will be able to learn many new things themselves which will help them to understand and sort out what was not clear earlier and to estimate the learning abilities and to learn level of proficiency in the language that is being taught.
Many teachers conduct similar lessons for their colleagues regularly however the general responsibility is for the certified Teacher. Teachers also conduct “Open Lessons” as part of the qualification examination for receiving a degree. So you can see it is really a challenge and when successfully completed it is a victory for teachers.
I started to write my songs in English couple years ago. I wrote special song for an Open lesson, I thought up the lesson about life Great Russian poet Sergei Yesenin. I made a video presentation with music, his pictures and pictures of his relatives, friends, lovers, the picture where he was bone and had education, all the words were illustrated to remind the song, which was like subtitles in this video. So pupils are able to sing it like karaoke and also I can take my guitar to teach it without audio-video aids. Here you can read the song.

About nature and Christian`s life.
He wrote so much, you will be able to find!
You see one of the way how I realize myself, one of my talents. And I think singing songs stimulates pupils to learn not only English language but for somebody also guitar playing. Music is not only hobby for me but it is the great love of my life. I am loyal and constant in my love for music. Everybody inspires because of music. And I use the feeling of inspiration for teaching pupils.
I think I have a success in it. My talent in writing songs helped me also in competition between young teachers. I took part last year with other young teachers in competition which was organized by international school “Linguist” for young teachers in Voronezh testing our skills in presentations, creativity, public speaking and improvisations. We were divided in teams and there were three other young teachers in my team from my district. We won the third place there. But all of us were amazing of course. I wrote special for this competition some new songs about our teaching. The first song i named “Our schools”.

I was so excited to play it on the guitar and sing on the stage! We were all bright stars on the stage! I even knitted white roses and sewed red stars on them which we put on our left sides of jackets because we named out team “Bright stars”.
I do work hard but somehow I'm always calm. I think it's really important when you deal with children. As a teacher you have to at least look like you're calm at all times or all hell breaks loose. Teachers need to be very good actors. I always take work home with me but when I get home I have a power nap on the settee for two hours then I work for four hours. I think I've been conditioned by my parents to work a very hard and diligently.
I would definitely recommend teaching as a career. If you are a teacher you can cope anywhere with anything. If you've dealt with a difficult head you can cope with any city boss. The level of responsibility is so high; you have standards and targets all the time. It gives you so many life skills.
