He was born in Lower Saxony on 11 (21) th of October in 1676

He is a talented German engineer who gave his whole life to the service of Russia

In 1697, he was invited to the Moscow Armory for artillery service

In 1713, Wilhelm was appointed head of the Olonets mining plants

In 1716, Gennin went to Europe

In February 1723, in the Urals, Gennin began construction of a new metallurgical plant
