Игра «Счастливый случай»

Тема: «Соединенное Королевство Великобритании и Северной Ирландии»

Цели занятия:

- проверка, систематизация, конкретизация знаний обучающихся;

- формирование мышления и познавательной активности;

- воспитание внимательности, находчивости, организованности и повышение интереса к предмету.

Задачи:

- повторить содержание темы «Соединенное королевство Великобритании и Северной Ирландии»;

- тренировать учащихся в переводе английских пословиц;

- учить пользоваться дополнительной литературой по английскому языку.

Подготовка: собрать дополнительный материал по Великобритании, подготовить по два вопроса от каждой команды, повторить английские пословицы.

Оборудование: объявление об игре, плакаты с названиями каждого гейма: “Go on”, “Tricks from the box”, “You Ask Me, I Ask You”, два списка вопросов (см. List 1), карточки с английскими пословицами (см. List 3), секундомер.

Ход игры.

Teacher: Good morning, children! Today we are going to play “A Lucky Chance Game”. Two teams will take part in it and there’ll be three games. Game 1 is called “Go on!” The task is to answer the question at high speed. If you don’t know or don’t remember the answer, you should say “Go on”, as your time is limited.

Team captains, come hereto determine the order your team will be asking. Every right answer gives one point to your team.

Учитель задает вопросы командам по очереди согласно жеребьевке

(см. List 1,2). Если члены команд затрудняются в ответе, учитель дает краткий правильный ответ после команды “Go on!”. Если время истекло, член жюри говорит “Stop!”. Подчитывают количество правильных ответов каждой команды, что соответствует количеству набранных баллов.

Teacher: It is called “Tricks from the box”. I’ve got a box full of cards with English proverbs. Team captains, come here to choose one card. The task is to give a word-for-word translation, you’ll get one point. If you give a Russian equivalent of an English proverb, you’ll get two points. Besides, there is a “Lucky chance” card. A “Lucky chance” card will give your team an extra 5 points added to your score.

Капитан каждой команды достает карточку из коробки и, посоветовшись с командой, читает и переводит пословицу и т.д., пока все карточки не закончатся. Побеждает команда, успевшая перевести больше пословиц или получившая дополнительно 5 очков за карточку, на которой написано

“A Lucky chance” (см. List 3).

Teacher: Game 1 is called “You Ask Me, I Ask You”. Be ready to ask your question to Team 2, Team 2will ask questions to Team 1.

Члены жюри подводят итоги игры.
