«СЛАБОЕ ЗВЕНО»

ИГРА-ВИКТОРИНА ПО СТРАНОВЕДЕНИЮ ДЛЯ УЧАЩИХСЯ 10 КЛАССОВ


Цели:

1.Способствовать поддержанию интереса у учащихся к изучению английского языка.

2.Совершенствовать речевые навыки и умения, расширяя кругозор учащихся о стране изучаемого языка.

3.Выявить лучших игроков-эрудитов.

I.Подготовка к игре:

Игра проводится как заключительный этап в декаде иностранного языка и включает в себя вопросы страноведческого характера. Тема “English-speaking countries.
Столы расставляются полукругом перед столом ведущего. 
Нужно заготовить карточки или страницу Excel с последовательностью очков 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32. 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024 и т.д.


II.Правила игры 

Требуется сформировать команду из 7-8 человек. Ведущий читает вопросы по очереди всем участникам. За каждый правильный ответ планка набранных очков поднимается вверх. При неправильном ответе все набранные очки сгорают. Перед тем, как ведущий задаст вопрос очередному участнику, он может положить набранную командой сумму в банк. Задача игроков – создать как можно более длинную цепочку правильных ответов и положить в банк максимально возможную сумму.  После каждой серии вопросов команда выбирает одного участника, который оказался «слабым звеном». В финал выходят 2 участника. Между  ними проводится «дуэль» из четырёх пар вопросов, которая и поможет выявить самого сильного игрока.
Жюри следит за счетом, определяя в каждом раунде слабого и сильного игрока.



III.Ход игры-викторины:

Учитель:  Good afternoon, pupils! I am glad to see you. Welcome to our game “The Weakest Link”. I am sure you like to watch this game on TV and know its rules. After each round the weakest link – a pupil who doesn’t answer the questions – will leave our game.  The theme of our today’s game is “English–speaking countries”. So let us begin. Introduce yourselves, please, tell us your name, age and hobby.

Двум  финалистам задаются по очереди 4 пары вопросов. Кто первый наберет больше правильных ответов, тот и выиграл. Если счет равный можно продолжить игру до первой ошибки одного из игроков.
