Открытый урок в 4 классе по теме «Travelling and Transport».

Предмет: английский язык

Класс: 4

УМК: «English» 4 класс II часть, авторы I.N. Vereshagina, O.V. Afanasyeva.

Тип урока: закрепление знаний по теме, обобщение полученных знаний и практического применения их в повседневной жизни.

Цель урока: формирование метапредметного мышления, широких знаний о путешествиях, транспорте, странах, обобщение и систематизация полученных знаний и умение применять их на практике.

Задачи урока.

Образовательные – продолжать совершенствовать лексико-грамматические навыки и умения учащихся в чтении и говорении по теме, формировать навыки активного речевого поведения, развития творческих способностей учащихся.

Развивающие - развивать мышление, память, самостоятельность, совершенствовать навыки связной речи, развивать интеллект и познавательные способности.

Воспитательные - воспитывать у учащихся любовь, желание путешествовать всеми видами транспорта, повышать познавательный интерес к английскому языку, прививать интерес к путешествиям.

Формирование УУД.

Познавательные:

  • расширение словарного запаса обучающихся,

  • извлечение информации из предоставленных источников.

Личностные:

  • проявление интереса к изучению иностранного языка,

  • усвоение и применение правил коллективной работы,

  • уважительное отношение к одноклассникам.

Регулятивные:

  • применение изученного языкового материала в речевой ситуации,

  • умение самостоятельно вести поиск информации.

Коммуникативные:

  • умение воспринимать иноязычную речь на слух,

  • умение работать в парах, выражать свою мысль, умение слушать других.

Оборудование. Учебник «English» авторов Афанасьева О.В для 4 класса, II часть, доска, проектор, карточки, презентация.


Ход урока

1. Орг. момент

Teacher: Good morning, pupils!

P.: Good morning, teacher!

T. I’m glad to see you!

P. We are glad to see you too!

T. Thank you. Sit down, please. What date is it today? What day of the week is it today? What’s the weather like today?


2. Настрой учащихся на работу и сообщение темы урока

Teacher: Look at the blackboard! What can you see? (слайд 1 – разные города и их названия на англ.яз. London, Kiev, Moscow, Tver, Odessa, Paris, Berlin, Helsinki )

P. We can see different cities.

T. That’s right! Look at the second picture! What can you see ? (слайд 2 )

P. We can see different means of transport.

T. You are quite right! So you can see different means of transport and different cities. What will be the theme of the lesson? How do you think?


P: Travelling and Transport. ( слайд 3 – название темы)

T. OK. You are right. Today we’ll speak about different kinds of transport and travelling. Даю звезду.

T. By the way, today I’m going to give you stars for each good and correct answer, so at the end of the lesson we’ll see who knows more and get a prize.

And now listen and repeat the poem and then try to learn it by heart.

T: Today we’ll find out how people usually travel. I want you to answer some questions:

- Which is the most popular means of transport? What means of transport do you prefer?

Travelling

Nowadays we cannot imagine our life without travelling. Thousands of people travel every day on business or for pleasure. They can travel by air, by train, by sea or by road.

Travelling by air is the fastest and the most comfortable, but is the most expensive too.

Travelling by train is slower than by plane, but has its advantages. You can look at things through the windows, have a sleep, read a book or go for a walk up and down the train. Also modern trains have very comfortable seats. Speed, comfort and safety are the main advantages of trains. That is why many people prefer them to all means of transport.

Travelling by sea is very popular. On board the ship you can enjoy your trip. There are tennis and badminton courts, a swimming-pool, a cinema and a dancing hall there. When you travel by cruise ship you can see waves, feel the fresh sea wind and hear the cry of the seagulls.

Many people like to travel by car. It is interesting, because you can see many things in a short time. It’s convenient, because you needn't reserve tour tickets. You can stop when and where you like.

Almost all people are fond of travelling. It is very interesting to see new places, another towns and countries. Travelling helps people to learn the country better, to know about customs and traditions of different places, to meet people and make friends with them.

Teacher: We know that a lot of people are fond of travelling. Why do people like to travel?

Pupil 1: Travelling is one of the ways to learn about different countries, people’s culture, and interesting places.

Teacher: How can people travel?

Pupil 2: They can travel by car, by plane, by ship, by bus, on foot…….

Teacher: Why do some people prefer to travel by car?

Pupil 3: They can stop when and there they want and enjoy nature.

Teacher: Why do some people like to travel by sea?

Pupil 4: I think there is nothing like travelling by sea. You can swim in the swimming pool, enjoy the wind, seagulls and the sea.

8. Работа в парах. Составление диалогов.

T: So now imagine that you are at the airport and want to buy a ticket. The task is to put the phrases in correct order and read the dialogue. Do this task in pairs. I give you 1 minute. ( слайд 12 , фразы в хаотичном порядке )

T. Read your dialogue, please

- Can I help you?

-I would like a ticket to Moscow, please.

- When are you going to fly?

- Today.

- Just a minute. I think flight 11 is best for you.

- When is the flight?

- 7.10, madam

-Excellent. How much is the ticket?

- That will be 14 pounds.


T. Thank you. Let’s check if you were right. Look at the blackboard. (слайд 13, фразы в правильном порядке). Now your task is to make and act out your own dialogues. Work in pairs for 2 minutes.

T. Did you like our lesson? What did you like most of all? Was the lesson interesting? Were tasks difficult for you?
