William Shakespare (1564-1616)  a great English writer. He is one of the most famous ever. He was born 1564 in Stratford - on - Avon. His plays and tragedies Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, Macbeth are well- known. Нe wrote comedies, historical plays and some very good poetry, especially the Sonnets.

Daniel Defoe  (1660-1731)  a well-known English writer who wrote one of the first novels in the history of English literature .It was Robinson Crusoe (1719). He was born in London. He visited many countries and met many people. That helped him to write his stories.
