Let’s learn some more about this place

Arkaim is an  ancient city, dated back to 20 century BC. It is located in the South Urals in Russia not far from Kazakhstan. It was discovered in 1987 by a team of archaeologists and their leader Gennady Zdanovich from Chelyabinsk State University. About 2500 people lived there. It was home to people of The Sintashta culture (Middle  Bronze Age ). They lived in one big house-fortress made of mud bricks. The fortress was in the shape of a circle. They didn’t have streets or other houses. They were farmers and hunters. They had fireplaces, dishes. They could make things of metal (copper). They could make fabric. The fortress burnt and people left it.
