Spring comes and nature awakens from its winter sleep.

The days become longer and the nights become shorter.

The ground is covered with fresh green grass and the first spring flowers.

They say that  autumn is a season of poets and philosophers, that’s why I really like it.

I can’t say that winter is my favourite season, but it’s really a beautiful time of the year.

Many people love snow, just like I do. I recall when I was younger I really enjoyed the crisp snow outside.

Winter is also a season of loud celebrations, as there are many holidays these days.

Spring

I love spring. It is a wonderful season.

Spring comes and nature awakens from its winter sleep. The days become longer and the nights become shorter.

The ground is covered with fresh green grass and the first spring flowers. How lovely the white snowdrops are! There are new leaves and blossoms on the trees.

The birds begin to sing and build their nests. The air is fresh and the sun shines brightly.

The days are warm and everything is full of life and joy. Everybody feels younger and stronger.

Many people like spring more than other seasons. It is very pleasant to watch how the nature awakens from the winter sleep.

In spring we can go to the country and have a walk in the woods or by the river, play ball-games, lie in the sun and even have a swim if the water is warm enough.

That is why I like spring more than any other season of the year.

Весна

Я люблю весну. Это прекрасное время года.

Весна приходит и природа просыпается от зимней спячки. Дни становятся длиннее, а ночи становятся короче.

Земля покрыта свежей зеленой травой и появляются первые весенние цветы. Какая прелесть белые подснежники! Появляются новые листья и цветы на деревьях.

Птицы начинают петь и строить свои гнезда. Воздух свеж, и ярко светит солнце.

Дни теплые и все полно жизни и радости. Каждый чувствует себя моложе и сильнее.

Многие люди любят весну больше, чем другие времена года. Очень приятно наблюдать, как природа просыпается от зимнего сна.

Весной мы можем поехать за город и прогулятся в лесу или по берегу реки, играть в игры с мячом, полежать на солнце и даже поплавать, если вода достаточно теплая.

Вот почему я люблю весну больше, чем любое другое время года.

Summer

My summer vacations this year were interesting and memorable. Every day was filled with events.

In June, together with classmates, we went to a camp. I liked the camp very much. We played sports games, competed in various sports, took part in various competitions. In the evenings, we went to the disco. I enjoyed discos as I like music and dancing. I made a lot of new friends and got to know my classmates better than at school.

When I returned home after the camp, together with my parents we went to the Crimea to have a rest by the sea. We stayed in a nice hotel in Feodosia. I really liked the stony beaches, blue sea, and numerous excursions. Mom and Dad allowed me to scuba dive and I saw the life of the seabed. I also visited the water park, made trips on a motor ship, and rode horses. My rest by the sea was unforgettable.

In August, I went to the country to visit my grandparents. I have many friends in the village where my grandparents live and we spent time together. We went swimming and fishing.

My summer holidays fly surprisingly fast. Now the school year has just begun, but I'm already waiting for new vacations, new impressions and new friends.

Лето

Мои летние каникулы в этом году были интересными и запоминающимися. Каждый день был наполнен событиями.

В июне вместе с одноклассниками мы отправились в лагерь. Мне очень понравилось в лагере. Мы играли в спортивные игры, соперничали, принимали участие в различных соревнованиях. По вечерам мы ходили на дискотеку. Мне нравились дискотеки, поскольку я люблю музыку и танцы. Я завел много новых друзей и узнал своих одноклассников лучше, чем до этого в школе.

Когда я вернулся домой после посещения лагеря, вместе с родителями мы отправились в Крым, чтобы отдохнуть у моря. Мы остановились в хорошем отеле в Феодосии. Мне очень нравились каменистые пляжи, синее море и многочисленные экскурсии. Мама и папа позволили мне заняться подводным плаванием, и я увидел жизнь на морском дне. Я также посетил аквапарк, совершил поездку на теплоходе и прокатился на лошадях. Мой отдых у моря был незабываемым.

В августе я отправился в деревню навестить дедушку и бабушку. У меня много друзей в деревне, и мы проводили время вместе. Мы плавали и ловили рыбу.

Мои летние каникулы пролетели на удивление быстро. Учебный год только начался, но я уже жду новых каникул, новых впечатлений и новых друзей.

I like autumn very much. The autumn months are: September, October, November.

In September summer yields to autumn. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. The sun rays are not so bright and warm. The fruit trees that not long ago bloomed with flowers are heavy with juicy apples and pears. Harvest time is a rush season for farmers. They gather sunflowers and maize, potatoes and cabbage, turnip and cucumbers, carrots and tomatoes. Early autumn is the period of flaming colours, when the landscape is gold and brown. In the daytime the silver gossamer is flying in the air. It’s a sign of the beautiful “Indian Summer”. But unfortunately this period of fine weather is very short and deep autumn follows it.

October is the best month for planting trees. People also prepare for winter.  It is a season when the trees are fantastic — yellow, red, green and brown. The trees are loosing their leaves. Now the ground is like a carpet of many colours. It gets dark earlier and often heavy clouds cover the sky bringing rain. Birds don’t sing their songs. They begin to leave for warm countries.

November is the month of fog, rain and snow. Animals put on their winter coats. The landscape becomes rather dull.Nature slowly falls asleep for winter.

Я очень люблю осень. Осенние месяцы: сентябрь, октябрь, ноябрь.

В сентябре лето дает дорогу осени. Дни становятся короче, а ночи становятся длиннее. Солнечные лучи не такие яркие и теплые. Плодовые деревья, которые не так давно ещё цвели, становятся тяжелыми от сочных яблок и груш. Сбор урожая - пик сезона для фермеров. Они собирают подсолнечник и кукурузу, картофель и капусту, репу, огурцы, морковь и помидоры. Ранняя осень - период ярких красок, когда всё вокруг становится золотым и коричневым. Днём серебряные паутинки летают в воздухе. Это признак прекрасного "Бабьего лета". Но, к сожалению, этот период прекрасной погоды очень короткий и за ним следует глубокая осень.

Октябрь - самый лучший месяц для посадки деревьев. Люди также готовятся к зиме. Это время, когда деревья фантастические - желтые, красные, зеленые и коричневые. Деревья теряют листья. Теперь земля похожа на разноцветный ковер. Темнеет раньше и часто тяжелые тучи покрывают небо, принося дождь. Птицы не поют свои песни. Они начинают улетать в теплые страны.

Ноябрь - месяц туманов, дождя и снега. Животные одеваются в зимние шкуры.

Пейзаж становится довольно скучным. Природа медленно засыпает.

Winter

"We cannot stop winter or summer from coming. We cannot stop spring or fall or make them other than they are. They are the gifts of the universe that we cannot refuse. But we can choose what to contribute to life when each arrives."

When December comes there is a breath of winter in the air. It is getting colder and colder day by day. It makes the hands cold and stiff. People put on fur coats and anoraks. And then suddenly soft white snowflakes start to fall and cover the ground and roofs fast. Everything becomes magical like in some fairy tale. To my mind, the only disadvantage of winter is a lot of icicles hanging from the roofs. They can be really dangerous. Slippery roads and streets might also lead to serious accidents.

I can’t say that winter is my favourite season, but it’s really a beautiful time of the year. Many people love snow, just like I do. I recall when I was younger I really enjoyed the crisp snow outside. My brother and I made snowmеn, went sledging from the hill and had snowball fights. By the way, I’m good at skating. At the weekend, I go to to the nearest skating–rink and spend several hours skating there with my friends.

Winter is also a season of loud celebrations, as there are many holidays these days. Some of my most favourite holidays are Christmas and New Year. Every year I wait for the time when all the stores and cafes outside start hanging festive decorations on doors and windows. It elevates my mood and makes me happy. It’s wonderful to hear Christmas songs from every corner. It also sets the atmosphere of holidays.

Everyone is in a hurry to buy a perfect gift. Sure thing, I also like to choose presents for my family and friends. But my favorite time falls on December 31, when the clock strikes 12 and all the family is gathering together around the dining table. Then we share delicious meals and drinks. I have never met a person who doesn’t like New Year or Christmas holidays.

The only thing I'd like to add is that Russian winters are especially enigmatic, and you might find yourself in an unbelievable place.

Зима

«Мы не можем остановить наступление зимы или лета, весны или осени, или изменить их. Это подарки Вселенной, от которых мы не в состоянии отказаться. Но мы можем выбирать, что вносить в жизнь, когда наступает каждый сезон».

Когда наступает декабрь, в воздухе чувствуется дыхание зимы. С каждым днем становится холоднее и холоднее. Руки замерзают и становятся грубыми. Люди надевают шубы и толстые куртки. И тут вдруг мягкие белые снежинки начинают падать и быстро покрывают землю и крыши. Все становится волшебным, как в какой–нибудь сказке. На мой взгляд, единственный недостаток зимы — это большое количество сосулек, свисающих с крыш. Они могут быть действительно опасными. Скользкие дороги и улицы также могут привести к серьезным авариям.

Я не могу сказать, что зима — мой любимый сезон, но это действительно красивое время. Многие люди любят снег также как и я. Я вспоминаю, что когда была помладше, то мне очень нравился хрустящий снег на улице. Мы с братом лепили снеговиков, катались на санках с холма, и устраивали сражения снежками. Кстати, я хорошо катаюсь на коньках. В выходные я отправляюсь на ближайший каток и провожу несколько часов, катаясь там вместе с друзьями.

Зима также является сезоном громких торжеств, так как в эти дни много праздников. Одни из моих любимых праздников — Рождество и Новый год. Каждый год я жду, когда все магазины и кафе начнут вешать праздничные украшения на двери и окна. Это поднимает настроение и делает меня счастливой. Замечательно слышать рождественские песни со всех сторон — это создает атмосферу праздников. Все спешат купить идеальный подарок.

Конечно, мне тоже нравится выбирать подарки для моей семьи и друзей. Но мое самое любимое время — 31 декабря, когда часы бьют 12, а вся семья собирается вокруг обеденного стола. Затем мы вкусно едим и пьем. Никогда не встречал человека, который бы не любил Новогодние или Рождественские праздники.

Единственное, что я бы хотела добавить, это то, что российские зимы особенно загадочны, и вы можете оказаться в невероятном месте.
