INTRODUCTION
The educational sphere is the past and the present of my native town. The type of my project is a researching project.
The topicality of my project. The love to the Motherland begins with the love to the native town. I am a part of my small Motherland.
The aim of my work is to know more about my native town Ozery. I should decide the following tasks: to know more about the historical past of my town and about the present life in Ozery; to research the sights of my town; to know something about its famous people.
The hypothesis: I suggested that my town appeared some hundred years ago and many interesting people lived there. I was born, and I live there. One day I thought “My Motherland is my town Ozery” and I decided to make a researching work.
What I have done: 1. I visited our town libraries and chose books about my Ozery. I read them. 2. I visited our town museum and our exhibition hall. 3. I walked along my town with my parents and they told me about it. 4. My teachers told me a lot of interesting things about the town. So, I can tell everybody a lot about my town now.

Before talking about Ozery, let's see, where it is
Ozery is 157 km South-East of Moscow, on the left bank of the picturesque river Oka.
THE HISTORY OF OZERY
Ozery was founded in 1834
The name of the town came from the village of Ozerok or Ozerki, which in 1834 has only 90 yards with a population of less than 500 people.
On the17th of August 1925 village Ozery became a town.
Local history Museum of A. P. Doronina was founded in 1963. The exposition is devoted to the past and present history of the region. The Museum includes exhibits of creation and development of the town, its population, biographies and photographs of honorary citizens, descriptions of flora and fauna, samples of mineral resources, household items of various periods.
NATURE
The nature of Ozery is very beautiful. It is a green town. There are a lot of forests, woods and parks. The river Oka is in our town. People like to rest on the bank of the Oka and have picnics in the forests.
OZERY TODAY
Today Ozery is a modern town with a railway station, a bus station, a hotel, big supermarkets, cinemas, clubs, restaurants and cafes.
Every year a lot of tourists visit our town.
In the center there is a Trinity Church. The Church was built in 1851, at the expense of local manufacturers Morgunov and Shcherbakov.
Numerous monuments and memorials can be seen in the streets of the town.
This is the memorial to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and this is a monument to the soldiers in Afghanistan.
Victory Day is a great holiday for all Russian people. We are proud of our grandparents. They fought for our country in the Great Patriotic War. Many citizens of our town became heroes. They are Katukov Mikhail Efimovich, Obukhov Timofei Petrovich, Kharlamov Sergey Vasilyevich, Makarov Arkady Sergeevich, Alexander Ivanovich Pchelkin
This is a monument in honour of marshal Katukov Mikhail Efimovich
Sport is very popular in Ozery. There are a lot of sport centers with a skating rink and swimming pools. We have our football, volleyball, basketball and hockey teams.
Ozery is also famous for its world champions.
Sergey Shirokov is a famous hockey player.
Sergey Lipinets is a famous kick boxer.
My conclusion. My town is very nice. It has a rich historical past. People who lived and live here love Ozery. They do a lot of useful work. When I am a grown up, I will do something unusual for my town. But now I love my town because it is nice and modern. I am proud of my beautiful town.
