Разработка урока в 7-м классе на тему: ‘Your ideal pet’ (Unit 3 Lesson 4).

Цель: развитие устной речи по теме;

Ход урока:

Warm-up: Good afternoon, how are you? Let’s start our lesson with the tongue-twister.

Four furious friends fought for the phone. (after the teacher, chorally, individually – faster & faster).

“Friends” is the main word of this unit. And today also we’ll talk about friends, very special friends. But first of all, let’s check your hometask.

Speaking: Now, I have got some question to you.

1) Have you got a pet? Is it ideal for you?

2) Can a pet be friend?

3) Is your pet your friend?

4) What pets can make good friends to people?

5) Would you prefer to have a pen-friend or a pet friend? Why?

6) Would you like to have a pet?

7) What pet would you like to have? Why?

8) Are you getting on with your pet?

9) How long have you had your pet?

Reading: some of you said that their pets are ideal for you. Let’s check if you are wright. You have a test in your books. Ex.3a, p. 64.

But first of all, let’s remember our active vocabulary. Each of you will go to the blackboard and wright the word that begins with the last letter of the previous one. Let me start – ‘FRIENDSHIP’. (relaxing minute).

And now, read the animal quiz and find out what pet is ideal for your personality.

Do you agree with quiz results? Why? Why not?

Grammar: find the sentences with either, neither, nor in the quiz. Read them aloud.

Look at the ex. 2a, p. 63 – 64. Try to match the sentences with the explanations.

Ex.4, p. 67.

Revision and hometask: Is YOUR pet ideal for you? If not what pet is ideal for you? Why?

Hometask: Write some sentences about your pet or about your ideal pet (7-8 sentences)
