The English writer Samuel Johnson had a black cat Hodge. He loved it very much and bought oysters to feed.
The bronze statue to Hodge is outside Johnson’s house in Gough Square.

The Thin House
This remarkable house is very thin – but only on one corner. On one side it is just about a meter-plus, but another end is normal.
Swan Upping
Every summer a team count the swans on the River Thames. This ceremony is called the Swan Upping. The birds belong to the Queen.

St. James's Park
St James's Park is the oldest Royal Park in the city. It’s lovely. There are many beautiful flower beds in it. A big lake is a home to local birds. Pelicans live there. Visitors can walk and feed squirrels as well.
Brixton Windmill
A unique mill in the heart of London. It is very old but still works and open for tourists.
St Paul's Cathedral
It is the work of the famous architect Sir Christopher Wren. The clock tower on the West Side has the bell known as Great Paul.
There is the dome on the top. You can watch London from there.
Black Cabs
Taxis in London are called black cabs. They are comfortable, elegant and very expensive . Black cabs in London can carry 5 people, as well as the driver.
Trafalgar Square
It is the largest square in London. They say it is the heart of the city as it’s a central meeting place. There is a monument to admiral Nelson in the middle of the square.
Piccadilly Circus
Piccadilly Circus is a busy square in the heart of London. It is famous for the very old fountain and for the neon advertising.
The Sherlock Holmes Museum
It is dedicated to famous detective Sherlock Holmes and his friend Doctor Watson. The museum is in Baker Street.
Fish and Chips Shops
They are fast food restaurants. They sell famous fish and chips. People can eat in or takeaway.
Red Telephone Box
It is the traditional British red telephone kiosk in the streets of London.
