в 5 «А» классе по теме «Hobbies»

Цель урока: способствовать формированию у обучающихся читательской грамотности; развитие навыков монологической речи.

Задачи:

1) Практическая: развитие и умение выражать своё мнение; обучение поисковому чтению.

2) Развивающая: развивать навыки нахождения нужной информации, умения анализировать, сравнивать.

3) Образовательная: развитие общеучебных умений, позволяющих совершенствовать учебную деяельность по овладению английским языком; расширение кругозора учащихся. 4) Воспитательная: формирование у обучающихся уважения и интересов к культуре и народу страны изучаемого языка; формирование нравственного, позитивного речвого общения при обмене мнением; умение слушать собеседника; повышение мотивации изучения английского языка.

Эпиграф урока: the motto of our lesson is the proverb «Twice happy is the man who has a hobby».

Ход урока:

I. Организационный момент

- Good morning boys and girls. I am very glad to see all of you. Sit down , please.

- Who is on duty today?

- What date is it today?

- What day of the week is it today?

-Who is absent today?

How many lessons do you have today? What are they?

Today we have guests at our lesson but don’t worry! Be active!

- Ok! Thank you. It is time to start our lesson.

-Please, look at the blackboard. There are some pictures on it. Look at them attentively and what can you say about them? What are these people doing?

- Yes, you are right. And now try to guess «What about are we going to speak at the lesson?»

- I think today we will speak about the things that people like to do.

- Very good! Of course, you are right! And think a little how do we call these activities in other words?

-Pupil 3: They are hobbies.

- Excellent! Today we will speak about different hobbies that people enjoy in their free time.

We all know that many people have hobbies. Some people think that hobbies make our life more interesting, and other people say that it is a waste of time.

Hobby is useful. We learn many new things, new culture and traditions .Very often hobbies help us to choose our future professions because we learn a lot about them.

Hobby is a way of spending free time. We can take pictures, collect postcards, listen to music, and play basketball, chess and so on. Also we can meet new people. It is always interesting.

Hobby is the part of our life. 

Task 1. Read the text and say if the statements TRUE (T), FALSE (F) or NOT STATED (NS).

1. Some people think that hobbies make our life more interesting. (T)

2. We cannot learn new culture and its traditions. (F)

Using this example make your own pie chart (draw with a pencil) and write which is your favourite activity.
