There have been calls over the years to create a costume, but as usual no-one can decide on what it should look like. Even Henry VIII got in on the act and commissioned an artist called Van Dyck to create an English National Costume, this also failed.

France. Look at the Pont l’Abbé coiffe, It is believed that the women of two rival towns in the Pont l’Abbé region began increasing the height of their coiffes, a tiny amount at a time, to see which town would have the highest one. Eventually, they stopped at a particular height ( it was about 33 cm), because anything higher than that was hard to secure on the head, and got in the way when going through doors.

Greece. Foustanella skirt is very popular in many regions of Greece. It is a wide and short skirt, knee-length or above the knee-length. Usually, it is black or white. Sometimes it is connected to the upper part of a garment, in other cases, a foustanella is worn like a separate piece.

Also look at the bocskor, a kind of closed leather sandal. There were loops (telek) or openings on the edge of the telkes bocskor, which was fastened to the shin with thongs.

Ireland …Irish National Dress with the revival of Irish dancing, the traditional Irish costume has become associated with the bright flamboyant costumes worn by traditional Irish dancers. 'leine' (Irish for shirt), trews (Irish for trousers) and long cloaks fastened with a brooch.

Japan. The traditional costume of Japan, the kimono, is an elegant garment that makes a woman look her best. With their wide variety of seasonal designs, kimonos reflect Japan's rich natural beauty. The obi, the sash, makes a kimono even more gorgeous. More than 3 meters long, the obi is tied in a beautiful and often elaborate knot.

No cloth or leather shoes could do the deed as good as wooden clogs.

Oman There are, the most amazing traditional jewelry pieces in their national costume. And Oman is definitely a place where striking silver jewels and adornments are made.
