Plan

1. The theme of the lesson: Our body. Face
2. The aims of the lesson: a) to prepare and encourage pupils to achieve a good standard of English in their first year of learning.

b) to introduce language in contexts drawing upon pupils’ skills and developing their ability to deduce meanings

1. Visual aids: type-recorder, cassette, posters, flashcards, pictures.

I. Warm up: 1) Greet pupils as they come into the class

                       2) Phonetic train

                       3) Check up their homework

II. Active presentation: Pupils open their books at p.28

They listen, find new words. NEW WORDS: a head, a shoulder, a leg, a knee, a toe, a foot(feet), a hand, an arm, left, right. The pupils write these words in their dictionaries. Then the children must to remember:

This is a toe. These are toes.

This is a foot. These are feet.

This is a knee. These are knees.

III. Grammar exercises

Pupils look at the pictures and write in their copybooks some sentences. For example:

What’s this? It’s a….

1. Homework: W.B. ex.1-3, p.24-25
2. Conclusion.
