Задачи урока:

 

1. Обобщить знания учащихся, проверить знания

страноведческого материала по темам «Времена года. Английский год. Природа.»

2. Убедиться, что все учащиеся могут говорить, читать, слушать

на предложенную тему в новой ситуации.

3. Проверить, как дети знают английские пословицы, стихи и песни по теме.

4. Формировать уважение к другим народам.

5. Приобщать к общечеловеческим ценностям.

6. Развивать механизм языковой догадки умения переноса знаний в новую ситуацию.

7. Развивать память, логическое мышление, быстроту реакции.

8. Расширять кругозор учащихся.

карта­план путешествия, компьютеры, записи Поля Мориа, запись с песней “When trees are green”, эмблемы, символы праздников, шары с символами праздников, таблички с названиями праздников, таблица времён года, картинки про маленького медвежонка для составления рассказа, таблица с кодом для разгадывания названия путешествия, тексты для аудирования, 12 таблиц для проведения тестовых заданий, 12 текстов викторины, 4 кроссворда, тыква, атрибуты праздников, якорь, штурвал, карточки с пословицами.

I. Введение в сюжет урока.

 

Teacher: Good morning, children! Glad to see you. Today we have an unusual lesson in Seasons country. You’ll repeat some facts about seasons and holidays in England, speak about the English Year, read the texts, do some puzzles, sing the songs, recite the poems, be in the fairyland of 12 months. Do you like to travel by ship?

Children: Yes, we do.

Teacher: Very good. Today we shall travel by ship “Scarlet sails” to the fairyland of 12 months.

 

II. Подготовка к путешествию.

The first pupil: Well, but we like spring. It’s warmer in spring than in winter. The leaves are small and green. The grass is green. In spring we usually enjoy the sun because it is not very hot.

The second pupil: I like spring, because in April there is a nice holiday ­ April Fool’s Day. I can play jokes and tricks on other people.

The first pupil: I prefer spring, because the trees with their small green leaves look beautiful.

 

Teacher: Now I agree with you. You convinced us, spring is a nice season.

The third pupil: I like summer, because I can roller-skate. I like to do it. In summer the days are longer and warmer and the nights are shorter than in autumn. We do not go to school. We can have a lot of fun in summer. In June the English people celebrate Father’s Day. On that day children send cards and give presents to their fathers.

The first pupil: I like autumn. I think it’s a beautiful season. I like to go to the forest in autumn. It’s so beautiful. You can see all colours in the forest in autumn ­ the leaves are green, yellow, red and brown. There are a lot of fruits and vegetables in autumn: apples and pears, plums and grapes, carrots and cabbages, cucumbers and tomatoes. I think it’s a very “tasty” season.

 

The second pupil: It often rains in autumn. I like when it rains. And I like autumn, because it’s so nice in the forest in autumn.

The third pupil: I like autumn, because it is the beginning of school season.

The English Year

It is the national emblem of Ireland. In England spring begins at the end of March. On that day people wear a shamrock. There are 31 days in March. People send greeting cards. A shamrock is a plant with three leaves. The 17^th of March is a national holiday in Ireland ­ St. Patrick’s Day.

People give them sweets, fruit, cakes, cookies or money. In America the children play a special game at Halloween: “Trick or treat”. They dress up as ghosts, witches, clowns or pirates and visit their neighbours. “Trick or treat!” they cry. The grown­ ups must give them a treat. When there is no treat, the children play a trick on them and run away.
