"Seasons"- Времена года.

Seasons.

I’d like to give a talk about seasons. There are four seasons in a year: winter, spring, summer and autumn. Each season is beautiful and unique in its own way. There is no bad weather in nature.

Personally, I love summer most of all. I like when it’s hot and sunny. The summer months are June, July and August. The weather is usually fine. The sun shines brightly. There are no clouds in the sky. It seldom rains. There are a lot of flowers everywhere. Birds sing beautiful songs in the morning. Summer is the best time for travelling. As for me, in summer I spend much time in the open air. I go to the seaside or swim in the river.

I’ also like winter. It is usually cold and windy. The sky is grey and overcast. It often snows. There are no leaves on the trees. In winter my friends and I often play snowballs or make a snowman. Sometimes we go skating or skiing. I usually wear a winter coat, a cap, a scarf and my boots. We also often go sledding. In winter I like to sit by the fire and drink hot tea or cocoa.

Spring is a beautiful season when the nature awakens from its long winter sleep. The birds usually come back from the south. There are lots of spring flowers everywhere: tulips, mimosa and daffodils. It is sunny and warm. But it often rains. If you see a rainbow after the rain, make a wish. in spring I often wear a raincoat and carry my umbrella with me.

Autumn is the most colourful season of all. The leaves on the trees are yellow, red and brown. It is often chilly and foggy outside. In autumn it often rains cats and dogs. But most of all I enjoy Indian summer. It is a period of warm and dry weather. There are a lot of golden leaves on the ground. As for me, I often walk in the park and enjoy bouquets for my mum.
