Level: Pre-intermediate

Aim: To expand their knowledge about different celebration of national holidays in different countries.

Objectives:

to enrich their lexical fund;
to improve all the language skills: speaking, reading, writing, listening.
to discover unknown celebrating traditions of national holidays in different countries.

Stages	Procedure
1	Defining the Essential Question. Teacher helps students to state the essential question.
2	Forming groups for the research and defining forms of presenting the results.
3	Choosing the type of project research (in groups or individually).
4	Discussing the sources of possible information.
5	Division of responsibilities among students.
6	Independent group work.
7	Preparation to present the results/report of the research.
8	Defending the results of the project.
9	Evaluating the results of the project.
