Text 16 . MOTHER CAN DO EVERYTHING.

It’s Sunday. It’s 8 o’clock in the morning. We are sitting at the breakfast table. We are ready to eat, we are hungry. But where is Mother? In the kitchen. She was up before all of us.

She has prepared breakfast. She has made tea, a pot for the whole family. She has brought porridge and warm milk for the porridge. And she has cooked eggs and toasted bread.

After breakfast we’ll help Mother to clear the table. We’ll take the dirty plates, cups, forks and knives to the kitchen. We’ll wash them up and put them into their places.

Then it’s time for Mother to think of dinner. She is going to cook mushroom soup, meat and vegetables. She will also make a cake for dinner. She can make a cake and do the rooms at the same time. She remembers to keep an eye on the cake and other things.

Mother is a good cook. We are fond of cakes and the food that Mother cooks for us. Sometimes Father helps her in the kitchen. But when he does it, a cup or a plate falls down on the floor. Who can do things better than Mother? But Father has pinned up this poem on the wall in the kitchen:
