Dear pupils! Today we are going to speak about different kinds of sport, great sportsmen, Olympic Games.

II. You will do different tasks, play games, guess the riddles, do puzzles and crosswords. And just now let us divide into two groups. (ребята выбирают фишки двух цветов, таким образом, распределяются на две команды, а самые большие фишки – это капитаны команд)

OK. Now we have 2 teams. Please, choose the name of your team.

The Olympic Games are the greatest international sports games in the world. The Olympic games have a long and interesting history. Competitions of athletes took place in Greece. The most important competitions in Olympia were named the Olympic Games. The Olympic Games were public festivals. The Olympic Games included events in racing, boxing, jumping, horse racing and wrestling. The Olympic Games became the symbol of peace and friendship. Summer and winter games are held separately. The Olympic Games are a festival of health, peace and friendship.
