Theme: Isaak Newton
- Isaak Newton was born on December His father was born in the village of Wolstorp to a middle-class peasant family. His father died before he was born. The baby was named Isaac.25, 1642 in Great Britain.
- In 1661, Newton enrolled at Trinity College, the prestigious University of Cambridge. He then studied and worked at the same college for 30 years.
- The great scientist was a very simple and polite man. He was so busy that he forgot to eat. He slept only 4 or 5 hours a day. There has never been a more significant event in the history of physics than the emergence of Newtonian mechanics.
Newton’s first law:
A boy will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line uncless it is acted upon some extemal forse
Newton’s second law:
- The rate of change of momentum prodused in a body by an impressed forse is directly proportional to that forse, and taked place in the direction in which the forse acts.
Newton’s third law:
- To every action is an equal and apposite reaction
The study of light was Newton’s favorite study. He came to the conclusion that white light consisted of rays of different colors and that each particular kind of colored ray was differently bent when it fell on a glass surface at the angle. His result formed the bases of modem spectrography.
He deneloped the theory of gravity when he was only 24. Having seen the fall of an apple he came to the conclusion that the apple and the earth were pulling each other, and he began to think of the same pull of gravity extending far beyond the earth. The problem of the paths of the planets, one of the greatest problems of those times, was “what laws couid account for the ceaseless motion of the planets round the sun?” Newton force of gravity acting between the sun and the planets, thus establishing the law of gravitation.
