Learners then develop these ideas in pairs or groups of three. learners support their views with the arguments and relevant examples. Set the time for every speaker and suggest that groups nominate a time keeper. Learners first listen to instructions on how to hold a debate then hold the debate (see Learning resources for help setting up a debate): Mobile phones are dangerous. Task 3: Learners debate about the advantages and disadvantages of the phones and decide which one would be the best for them and explain why.
