In 1695 during the first Azov campaign Russian troops could not capture the fortress of Azov. The siege was unsuccessful, as the Turkish garrison in the fortress received support from the sea. Therefore, in preparation for the second Azov campaign in the village of Preobrazhensky near Moscow, 22 galleys and 4 fire-vessels were built in winter, which were transported to Voronezh in parts, where they were reassembled. At the same time in the Voronezh region were built about one and a half thousand plows, boats and rafts, as well as one ship. As a result of the second campaign, the fortress of Azov was taken by Russian troops. The Russian fleet prevented the supply of the fortress by people, ammunition and food.

Воронеж - город в России, административный центр Воронежской области. Воронеж был основан в 1586 году.

Воронеж считается «колыбелью» российского государственного военно-морского флота и родиной воздушных десантников.

В 1695 году во время первого Азовского похода русские войска не смогли захватить крепость Азов. Осада оказалась неудачной, так как турецкий гарнизон в крепости получал поддержку с моря. Поэтому при подготовке ко второму Азовскому походу в селе Преображенском недалеко от Москвы зимой были построены 22 галеры и 4 брандера, которые по частям были перевезены в Воронеж, где были собраны снова. В то же время в Воронежском крае были построены около полутора тысяч стругов, морских лодок и плотов, а также один корабль. В результате второго похода крепость Азов была взята русскими войсками. Русский флот не допустил снабжения крепости людьми, боеприпасами и продовольствие.

Памятник котёнку с улицы Лизюкова — памятник герою мультфильма «Котёнок с улицы Лизюкова» в Северном микрорайоне Воронежа на улице Лизюкова. Установлен 5 декабря 2003 года перед входом бывшего кинотеатра «Мир».

Памятник Белому Биму Чёрное ухо — памятник собаке Белому Биму Чёрное ухо, герою повести Гавриила Николаевича Троепольского. Установлен в Воронеже на площади перед Воронежским театром кукол «Шут».

Также в Воронеже есь множество памятников великим людям.

Памятник Пушкину в Воронеже — памятник поэту, установленный в сквере рядом с Театром оперы и балета, около одноименной улицы Пушкинской.

Памятник Петру I — бронзовая скульптура на гранитном постаменте, находящаяся в Петровском сквере Воронежа. Памятник был торжественно открыт 30 августа 1860 года.

Памятник Высоцкому В. С. установлен в Воронеже на пешеходном отрезке улицы Карла Маркса недалеко от Института физкультуры.Памятник Высоцкому был установлен 21 августа 2009 года.
