Do you know how to born the Legends? People, who's able to change something in our life or improve it. How do they live and, generally, what do they do to get the top of the pick? The goal I've pursued while I carried out this research is an exploration of one of the most talented and famous person's life, creation, achievements and career ladder. The movies he has taken part in, probably, knows everybody. His name often sounds in the list of prestigious film awards' owners. The magic of his actor playing is possibly able to cast the spell on any person. He dedicated his life to the cinematography. I wouldn't be wrong if I said that the cinematography is actually his life. This is a man, whose future was determined by his childhood, whose main slogan is "Never give up", whose name is Thomas Jeffrey Hanks.

Chapter One «Tom Hanks's Biography»

The uniqueness of Tom's actor talent takes back exactly to his childhood, which is memorable for him as an extremely difficult life experience. The joy of making new friends, the pleasure of family holidays celebrating and the warmth of mother's hands cruelly passed him by. The versatility and the ability to adapt to any situation and atmosphere created and improved his talent. "The biggest part of my childhood I spent sitting on a backseat of my father's old van. While my brothers were kidding on me, I was gazing a changing landscapes outside rested against the glass of the car and I just repeated to myself: I will never stay alone. Somebody's surely gonna understand and love me." - As likes to recall Tom as an indispensable period of his life which made them be strong and purposeful. But, nevertheless, the most important thing for him stays value of the family. At the first time after the studying Tom hadn't a job so he was compelled to grasp at any role offered to him because at the same time he also had no less important role - being a loving husband and father. But he just wasn't able to play every role equally well and the job took more forces. His first success in cinema he has already celebrated alone. "I was more lonely than when I was a child" - says Tom. - I was firmly resolved to love loneliness and don't converge with somebody anymore. I plunged into my work and even made myself sure that loneliness is a normal thing and there's nobody I need in." But, as you know, people's world outlook is won’t change with age and all the best were waiting for Tom in the future including as career success as an absolutely faithful and loving partner of life.
As soon as Thomas has met Rita Wilson everything changed. He has truly fallen in love and that occasion probably had an incredible influence on push in his career filled by immeasurable enthusiasm and forces to reach new horizons. She is her best supporter throughout all this time since the moment they met each other in one sunny day. Tom and Rita bring up two beautiful children who have already begun showing hereditary talent. Tom's son from the first marriage Colin made his career without father's supporting just to prove that the only one surname means nothing. As he says: "I've chosen actor profession to break a misunderstanding between me and father I've had no in my childhood." Probably, the Hankses' blood of actor talent has begun to boil with new forces and, who knows, what Tom and his young growing talents going to surprise us in the future.

Maybe exactly the power of love and a bit of life experience allow Hanks to gift us his magnificent characters he has made and the whole culture of his creation thriving to this day. Certainly, the mixture of inborn talent and hard work has brought him fabulous success. He is the second person who has got an Oscar for Best Actor twice in a row. Besides, he has great amount of fans around the world and he has been named the most favorite actor of the Americans in 4 times. Moreover, he is one of the highest paid actors ever having a fee for the Robert Langdon's role in amount of 51 million dollars. The romantic-comedy characters we began with gradually turned into the serious dramatic actor who gradually became cast the spell on more and more filmgoers and critics. His first success is caused by 1993 year when he played dying man who protected his rights as an AIDS patient. This film has brought him his first Oscar and allowed him to struggle into the Big Cinema. Let us enjoy short excerpt from "Philadelphia". (Showing) Who knows, what he used to show us such a profound spectacle riddled by the darkest drama. Probably, the roots take back to his childhood, when he felt loneliness. Or, apparently, he just lived through the moment of parting with first wife and children again. Most likely, it's much easier to him to play another person than show who he is in the reality. His job helps him to move away from the life routine and plunged into the art. But the second Oscar turned Tom into the national hero. The period of Hollywood congesting was truly stellar and significant. Some of his characters became canons and their quotes went down in the history. "Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get" used to say silly Forrest Gump whose childlike simplicity of his mind made him well-known millionaire.
Another important film he took part in required by him to laid out in full. He lost 20 kilograms and was forced to live Island during the filming. The Cast Away film was a solo of one actor and showed the whole potential Tom Hanks had. (Showing excerpt)
Hanks doesn't use his popularity as a way to show off himself in various events and try not to be like a celebrity. He is an honest family man. I can assure that you will never find any scandalous article about him even in yellow press. He also takes part in various charity organizations. He deserves his fans love by different ways. There was one interesting occasion, when Tom met a couple of little boy-scouts selling cakes. It was so fun for him so he decided to help them to sell the whole box! And there's another significant occasion, when he returned the money for a ticket to the movie, which disappointed some of his fans. It would be right to consider that he is a model of principled, cultural, Victorian man you can ever see under the light of cameras' flashes. Tom is a quite life lover. Having a career pick behind he casts movies rarely now taking part only in one movie per year just not to repeat previous life mistakes.

Chapter Three «How does he influence on his fans and people's life at all» ?

Being a real fan of Tom Hanks creation I have certainly met all his films in original. His voice is actually a decent part of his actor playing because of its specific tone. The doubling is able to deprive us of many details. My passion for Hanks figure has become such big so I've even decided to carry out a little survey of the class and find out how popular and influential he is. As for me, the results weren't unexpected. There was no one among the people I've asked who have no idea about Tom Hanks. Everybody is able to call one movie at least with his participation. The absolute record belongs to The Green Mile Picture which made shed a tear more than a half of interviewed. Second place owner is Forrest Gump which was named by many boys and girls very colorful and bright picture they've ever seen. Another movies like The Da Vinci Code or The Cast Away turned out in the mixed list. I've got a little video interview with one of my classmates who appreciate Hanks's creation no less than me. But there're more large-scale surveys than mine. As opinion poll shows the most preferable actor for the Americans is exactly Tom Hanks, which, judging by the facts, has been recognized as favorite actor in the USA in 4 different times. He also has his own Hollywood star of fame for his long-year contribution to the cinema.

Conclusion

Looking back, I'd to return one thing. Life is really like a chocolate box and you truly never know what you're gonna get. The engine of Thomas's life is motivation. As he said, he was airports cleaner before he had become the national hero and one of the best dramatic actors ever. I can say that Tom Hanks taught me some simple things we should never forget about. And one of them is the perseverance. Whatever obstacles we'd have on the way to our goals - we dare not stop believing in success and we dare not give up. Because of our goal is our future.
