The sights of the Southern Ural. Zyuratkul National Park

Zyuratkul National Park is a national park located in the southern part of the Satka District of the Chelyabinsk Region in 30 km south of Satka, and 200 km west of Chelyabinsk.

It was organized on November 3, 1993. The total area is 88,249 hectares, the length from the north to the south is 49 km, the length from the west to the east is 28 km.

The park performs the following main tasks: the preservation

of reference and unique natural complexes, the monuments of nature, history, culture, archeology and other objects of

cultural heritage.

The park includes such monuments of nature as the high-water lake Zyuratkul,

the Zyuratkul Pillars (скалы Зюраткульские Столбы),

the Bears cliffs on the Zyuratkul ridge (скалы Медведи),

the rocky remains "Scallop" on the river Berezyak in the tract Vinogradov hamlet (скальный останец «Гребешок» на реке Березяк в урочище Виноградов хутор),

Numerous attractions of the park: a mountain-tundra plateau with an area of 9 km² on top of the Nurgush ridge,

an artesian source Fountain in the upper reaches of the Malaya Satka river (артезианский источник Фонтан ),

relic larch forests on the ridges of Urenga and Lukash (Nukash) (реликтовые лиственничники),

the relic firs on the Nurgush and Lukash ridges (реликтовые ельники),

The Elm grove (Вязовая роща).

On the recreation center "Ecopark Zyuratkul" there is a mini-zoo. Also in the national park there is a trout farm, the marvelous farm where half-wild deer brought from Altai are kept.

There is a tourist base, where many people come to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Southern Ural
