Don’t forget!
1.Short adjectives ending in consonant-vowel-consonant double it before adding
–er/-est e.g. fat-fatter-fattest,big-bigger,biggest
2.Adjectives ending in consonant-y turn the –y into –i and then take the –er/-est
e.g. easy-easier-easiest,funny-funnier-funniest
Remember!
We use than in the Comparative
e.g.Your car is slower than mine
We use the……in/of
in the Superlative
e.g.August is the hottest month of the year.
The rest of the adjectives –two-syllable and more - take more to form the Comparative and most to form the Superlative.
