The aim of the lesson is: SWBAT increase their knowledge about countable and uncountable nouns.

T: Thanks my dear pupils! I am also very glad to see you! Let’s turn to each other and smile!

Good. Now take your seats, please! Don’t worry, we have some guests today! Be attentive, raise your hands if you know the answers for the questions.

So, Let’s begin our lesson.

At first, to warm up our lesson Let’s sing a happy song. Stand up! Turn to each other and begin.

T: OK. Thank you. Now ,We have some school rules . Who can tell me about our golden rules.

  1. Pupils must be attentive at the lesson.

  2. Pupils must wear uniforms.

  3. Pupils must stand up when a teacher comes into the classroom.

  4. Pupils must raise their hands when they want to answer.

  5. Pupils mustn’t fight in the class.

  6. Pupils mustn’t wear jeans.

  7. Pupils mustn’t eat in the class.

  8. Pupils mustn’t stay in the classroom at a break.

T: Let’s check your homework. What was your home task for today?

P: Yes, We are ready for our home task. Our home task was : Learn the conversation on page 42 exercise 1.

T: OK . Good. Let’s check your homework. Look at this picture. It is a Cook Off Show. Come to the blackboard and start your conversation.

Good. Take your seats.

T: Now, at first, write the new words. Open your books on page 42 exercise 2, label the photos. Listen and repeat the words. Then I will read the words, then you will read one by one.

Good. Next exercise is on page 43 . Look at the picture and find 9 more food and drink words. Complete the labels with vowels( a, e, i, o, u).Listen and repeat.

Countable nouns are the things that we can count. Uncountable nouns are the

They can be singular and plural. things that we cannot count.

For example: A banana – two bananas, They have only singular form.

An apple – 3 apples, For example: milk, sugar, salt.

An egg - 5eggs . We don’t use in a such way:

Milks , salts , waters.

I have 5 bananas. It is special ice cream.

You have 4 apples. Can you give me some milk

There are some oranges.


There is some rice.

Use some with affirmative countable and uncountable nouns.


Negative



There aren’t any oranges.


There isn’t any rice.

Use any with negative countable and uncountable nouns.

T: Good. We bought a lot of things from supermarket and our task is divide them into countable and uncountable nouns. We have also 2 teams , we will play the game “ Who will be the first?”


T: Let’s do exercise 8 on page 44.

Complete the sentences with is, isn’t , are, aren’t.

  3. There _______ any sandwiches on your plate.
