ADJECTIVE.DEGREES OF COMPARISON ԱԾԱԿԱՆ.ՀԱՄԵՄԱՏՈՒԹՅԱՆ ԱՍՏԻՃԱՆՆԵՐԸ

Adjectives have 3 degrees of comparison:

1.Positive Դրական

2.Comparative Բաղդատական (-ավելի)

3.Superlative Գերադրական(- ամենա)

Միավանկ ածականների բաղդատական աստիճանը կազմվում է հիմքին ավելացնելով – er գերադրականը ՝ the հոդ և -est

• e.g long ( երկար) – long er (ավելի երկար)- the long est (ամենաերկար)

• Strong - strong er - the strong est

Բազմավանկ ածականների բաղդատական աստիճանը կազմվում է – more (ավելի) գերադրականը ՝ the most (ամենա)

• e. g. Interesting – more interesting- the most interesting
• Difficult – more difficult- the most difficult

- Եթե ածականը երկվանկ է և ավարտվում է –ow, -er, -y, -le , ապա կազմվում է միավանկի նման

• Clev er - cleverer- the cleverest
• Happ y -happier-the happiest
• Narr ow - narrower- the narrowest
• Simp le -simpler-the simplest

Եթե y-ին նախորդում է բաղաձայն y i

• Hap py - happ i er- the happ i est
• G ay -ga y er- the ga y est

Եթե բառավերջի բաղաձայնին նախորդում է կարճ ձայնավոր՝ բաղաձայնը կրկնապատկվում է

• B ig - bi gg er- the bi gg est
• H ot -ho tt er-the ho tt est

Եթե նախադասության մեջ կա than, ապա պետք է օգտագործել համեմատական (ավելի) աստիճանը։

Our house is more comfortable than your house.

This room is larger than that one.

IRREGULAR ADJECTIVES

• Good - better - the best( լավ)
• Bad – worse – the worst (վատ)
• Much(անհաշվելի) more – the most (շատ)
• Many(հաշվելի)
• Little - less – the least (քիչ)
• Old older – the oldest

elder- the eldest (ավագություն)
