Розвиваюча: Розвивати навички культурного спілкування й мовленнєвої реакції учнів; розвивати уяву , навички аналізу та узагальнення інформації;

Т: Education is a very important thing nowadays. Education abroad is very interesting for us. What are the differences between our systems of education? What advantages and disadvantages of our and their education? These and a lot of other questions we`ll answer at the end of our lesson.
So, the subject of our discussion is education in Great Britain and Ukraine. Today we’ll continue discussing more about schools in Britain and also discuss schooling in Ukraine. By the end of the lesson you should be able:
1. to understand new words and word combinations;
2. to understand the differences between Ukrainian and British schools;
3. to make a conclusion about system of education of Ukraine and Great Britain;
4. to develop listening, reading ,speaking and writing skills;

According to this proverb, education is very important for the entire world. As the proverb tells us, without education we can be a bird without wings. We couldn’t do what we want and have success in life. The value of education is the key to eradicate the many social problems that people are facing around the world.

Schools in Ukraine
Schooling in Ukraine is free and compulsory. Most children begin their study at the age of 6 and finish it at the age of 18. First they go to primary schools where they learn reading and writing, get basic knowledge in major sciences.
After four years of primary schools children go to secondary school. The task of secondary education is to provide the pupils with the necessary level of knowledge in required courses. Besides, present-day schools are free to choose subjects to be taught beyond a core curriculum; they can be chosen according to the school or class specialty.
Many Ukrainian children attend gymnasia and lyceums. These schools major in humanities or science. Some of them are affiliated to universities or other institutions of higher education.
The majority of schools in Ukraine are financed by the state. Private schools are few in number.
