Education

Test – is finding out how well something works. In terms of human beings, testing tells what level of knowledge or skill has been acquired.

Exam – a test of a student's knowledge or skill in a particular subject 

• certificate –  a document serving as evidence of qualifications

• degree –[ dɪˈɡriː] a series of steps or stages

• mark – estimation

• entrance exam – an exam that you take to be accepted into a university etc.

• report card –  a written statement of a student's grades

• to retake - to take an exam again because you failed it the first time
