Welcome to the wonderful Vasilyevka village, where live the most kindest, helpful and talented people. Our village is not only rich in people but also in its history. Here the future generations are educated with love, in the kindergarten “Vasilyok”. At the bakery is baked the most delicious and fragrant bread throughout the area, in the newly opened plant is bottled the most delicious sparkling water “The Crimean pearl”. At school such knowledge is given that opens the world to the child and gives the opportunity to step confidently into adulthood, and in the Palace of Culture children's talents are discovered and developed through their hearts and souls.

This is a lovely village, which had to endure a lot. Life has not just praised but tested this place.

Vasilyevka is originally from the village Koy-Eli ( which was added on maps in 1817 by 6 courtyard areas). These areas, which were granted to him by Catherine II in 1783, were inhabited by peasants imported by earl Kakhovsky from his estate in Mogilev province. In 1860 Kahovsky`s heirs sold the estate and the village to the landlord Dulvetov. The next owner of the lands Sakharova, had become a landowner. She cheated the farm laborers cutting their payments. Despite this she ran the estate reasonably and rationally. In 1903 there was built The Mill by her decree where grain was brought from all over the Crimea. Premium flour was produced on The Mill. Unfortunately it had worked until 2002.

In November 1920 after a Victory over Wrangle in Vasilyevka was established the Soviet authority. In the spring of 1929 peasants of Vasilyevka, Malinovka and Prolom created the collective farm “Giant”. But due to the lack of an economical base in a year it was divided into three cooperatives : “Vperyod” - in Vasilyevka, named after S. G. Shaumian - in Prolom, and “Severnaya zvezda” - in Malinovka.

Year by year the collective farm “Vpered” firmed up.

It developed gardening, horticulture, sheep breeding and field crop cultivation. Productivity of the gardens and fields had increased as well as the productivity of animal husbandry. The village was developing rapidly.

In 1921, for the first time in the village's history a medical center was opened and for 1934 it had become a hospital.

Since January 1921 there was opened an elementary school, where studied 37 children. In 1932, a new building was constructed as a seven-year school with ten classrooms and two school offices, but the peaceful life on the village was interrupted by a war. In the beginning of the war 200 people went to the front of this village.

In November 1941, the village was occupied by the German fascist invaders. They “made themselves at home” by shooting at communists and activists. During the occupation, 71 people were killed, and 27 sent to work in Germany.

In 1942-1944, there were several anti-fascist groups operating in the village The guerrilla groups were sticking leaflets and distributing them in the newspaper "Red Crimea", collected for the partisans information about the enemy, warm clothes and products.

Active participants such as Anna and Olga Kulyakin conducted the underground operations. Their contribution to the development of the partisan movement was remarkable. The girls were not afraid of the dangers. Their main dream was to destroy the enemy and the liberation of their homeland from the fascist invaders, but in 1944, the sisters were ambushed. At first they were taken to the Starokrimckaya prison, where they stayed for a long time and were brutally tortured, then they tried to bribe the sisters with promises of freedom.

On April 8, 1944, they were transferred by the Gestapo to Karasubazar city, where they were severely beaten, and burned with a hot iron. But the sisters held firmly. After another, terrible interrogation Anya wrote a note to her mother with a pencil's stub using her bloody fingers, which she hidden in her thick braid.

"Dear mommy! just do not be angry with me, because otherwise I could not do it. Sorry for Olya, she is dying because of me. At 4 o'clock we will not, and it is just 5 pm now. Take care of the rose that I planted, let it blossom, as if it were us. I do not regret at all. We were murdered, however you will live. Goodbye home. We kiss you hard. "

One night Prolom's guerrillas broke into the Starokrimskaya prison to released them all, but Olya and Anya were no longer there. During the daytime they were taken to Belogorsk's prison, where they stayed for two weeks and were shot on April 9, 1944, and on April 13, Soviet troops entered the city, which released Belogorsk's region from the Nazis. So two courageous women died. In 1965 in the village of Vasilyevka the school was named in their honor. On September 22, 2009, on the school yard was built a monument to partisans, the sisters Anna and Olga Kulyakin.

It is hold sacred in the memory of the village the 117 villagers-patriots who died during the Great Patriotic War. In Prolom village was set a tombstone to a sailor and radio operator M. Klyuyev, a monument to underground fighters-members of the Komsomol. In the centre of Vasilievka village was erected a monument to the villagers who gave their lives for their Motherland in the battle lines.

We can talk for hours about the heroic deeds of our fellow villagers. You can see for yourself what a brave and bold people live in this village. And if ever happen that you get into troubles, you know, we will always come to the aid and extend you a helping hand!
