Challenges of My Professional Development: Metaphors I Teach By Language is garden

Language is garden. I love gardening and I love helping students with this activity. That is of course the teacher ‘s responsibility to establish the relations between student's interest and new knowledge .

Language is garden. We have numerous types of plants in our garden. The teacher ensures that the plants get water regularly so that they grow and bloom the way they should. It takes a while to see results. Students have to be committed to watering (learning) a little every day, but soon they see something happen (they make progress) and the results are quite good for them (it is interesting and beneficial).  They can, especially when they have been successful, soon go on to grow better things (progress in the language).Teaching a foreign language means formation and development of students' habits and skills in hearing, speaking, reading, and writing. Learning can be considered as a process of getting knowledge. Teachers must know how they can help their students to successfully memorize and retain in memory the language material they learn. What is more the teacher should choose the correct methods and aids of teaching which are very effective in getting the aim.

In conclusion teaching language is like providing the conditions for growth. Every gardener knows that you cannot make a plant grow. The plant grows itself. Gardeners know how to take care of growing the plants. Teachers should know what the conditions of growth are. With good teaching the garden starts to flourish and flower. We need to make the flowers bloom. We should turn the foreign language into the blooming garden for students.
