The word ‘fake’ is often used nowadays to describe something that is not true, genuine, or real. — Слово «фейк» (поддельный) часто используется в наши дни для описания чего-то, что не является истинным, подлинным или реальным.

Fake information — ложная информация.
Fake facts — подтасованные факты.
Интересно, что слово fake применимо и к людям. Если поведение человека кажется наигранным, неискренним (insincere) или неестественным (forced), его могут назвать фальшивым.
