Introduction

Build a «teacher-student» relationship

1

Teacher- whole group

Set-up: pupils greet the teacher, sit down in their seats.

Ex: «Hello students!»

      «Good morning teacher!»,

      «Sit down»

Phase 1

Psychological and emotional attitude to the lesson

5

Teacher- whole group

Set-up: the teacher asks about the mood of the pupils.

Ex: «How are you?Are you good or are you bad?».

In words «good» and «bad», the teacher shows a thumbs up or thumbs down gesture. The pupils give the answer.

The teacher repeats the previous topic «Number» together with children.

Ex: «Masha, tell me how many students are in the class?».

      «One, two, three..four».

Each student should count.

Phase 2

Familiarization with the verbs of movement

8

Whole group - teacher

Set-up: the teacher uses the presentation to show pictures that convey movements. Pupils should guess what movement is depicted. When they pronounce, the teacher repeats the words again, visually showing this movement.

Ex: «What does this boy do?» (pointing to the picture).

       «Прыгает»

«Correct, Petya. He jumps» (the teacher makes jumps).

Then a word without a picture appears on the board. Each child reads the word and tries to show movement. Task is performed standing up.

Phase 3

Fixing words through exercises

7

Individual, whole group

Set-up: the teacher hands out papers with a task in which students must match a word with a picture. Then the answers are checked.

The last task is performed standing in a circle. The picture with the action appears on the board. The game starts with the teacher. He holds a ball in his hand, showing that it is hot and looks at the picture, trying to quickly name the right word. Then he passes the ball to the pupil. Children play several rounds. The word order changes.

3

Teacher- whole group

Set-up: the students sit down at their desks and the teacher asks they if they liked the game.

Ex: «Was the game good or bad?».

In words «good» and «bad», the teacher shows a thumbs up or thumbs down gesture.

The teacher asks to name the studied verbs and count them.

At the end the teacher discusses the homework for the next lesson and says goodbye.
