Фразовый глагол get:

• get along (with) – ладить с кем-то He gets along with his foster  mother – он ладит со своей приемной матерью

• get away – убегать, спасаться: We got away from the burning house – мы спаслись из горящего дома

• get by — сводить концы с концами: How can he get by on so little money? — Как мы сможем прожить на такую маленькую сумму?

• get in / get into – входить, проникать: The robber got into the house when it was dark – грабитель проник в дом когда было темно

• get off  — выходить из транспорта; удалять (пятна с одежды). Мы говорим «Get off!» когда прогоняем кого-то
  •    I get off at the next stop – я выхожу на следующей остановке
  •    She can’t get off that greasy stain off her dress – она не может удалить это жирное пятно со своего платья
  •    Get off my car! – отойди прочь от моей машины!

• get on – садиться на автобус, самолет, поезд : I must get on the train at 17:00 – я должен сесть на поезд в 17:00

• get over – выздоравливать, оправиться от чего-то: My mother had a heart attack, but she got over it – моя мама перенесла сердечный приступ, но оправилась от него

• get rid of – избавиться от чего-то : You must get rid of the habit of smoking – ты должен избавиться от привычки курить

• get together – встречаться: Let’s fix time to get together tomorrow  — давай назначим время для завтрашней встречи

• get through — 1) справиться; выдержать экзамен; 2) дозвониться, связаться с кем-то: I tried every kind of communication, but I couldn’t get through. — Я попробовал все виды коммуникаций, но так и не смог с ней связаться.

• get up – вставать, просыпаться: Jane gets up at 8 o’clock – Джейн встает в 8 утра.

• get up to (something) означает затевать что-то или заниматься чем-то, чем заниматься не положено:  I wonder what those two got up to yesterday? — Интересно, чем эти двое занимались вчера?

• get on with (something) – продолжать делать что-то, делать успехи: Don’t take notice of me and get on with cooking – не обращай на меня внимания и продолжай готовить.

• get on (well) with (somebody) – ладить с кем-то We get on very well with our neighbors – мы хорошо ладим с нашими соседями.

• get back – возвращать, вернуть (долг), отомстить: I’ll get back the money you have lent me in a week – я верну деньги, которые ты мне одолжил, через неделю.

•  get back together – возобновить отношения: We decided to get back together – мы решили возобновить отношения
