I. 2008 is a Family year.

The Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin announced the year of 2008 as a Family year. Without any doubt a family is a basis of any society. Today I’d like to sing a hymn to the teachers’dynasties of my school and some other ones of my Home Town. I haven’t had an opportunity to get acquainted with all of them yet, but I am eager to meet them and what is more to make a list of teachers’ dynasties of Vyazma. It is my wish and my duty I am sure because I am a representative of one of them.

Everything that we know we know thanks to our teachers. My story is a hymn to a Teacher. A teacher has to know how to teach, how to make difficult things understandable, how to get students interested in the subject. And, of course, a teacher ought to have perfect knowledge of his subject. I think the ideal teacher is the one who can combine all these qualities.

II. A Hymn to a Teacher.

Look at the screen! This is a founder of the Chaykins dynasty Juri Pavlovich Chaykin. Now Juri Pavlovich is a head of a sport school in Vyazma. He is a Honoured Teacher because he has trained a lot of real sportsmen.

His wife, Lyubov Petrovna, a teacher of a primary school, was Deputy Director for Educational Work at school number 9, now she is a teacher. In 2005 Lyubov Petrovna became Honorary Worker of National Education.

This is a photo of their daughter Eleanora Jurjevna Barsukova, who is a teacher of a primary school like her mother. She works at our school. She is rather young but she is a high level teacher. Eleanora Jurjevna is not only a good teacher. Look! She is so pretty!

The Shvedov dynasty consists of two teachers Anastasiya Ivanovna Shvedova and Natalya Petrovna Korshunova. They are both teachers of a primary school and they both worked at our school. It’s a great pity Anastasiya Ivanovna died some years ago but she was a talanted teacher indeed. During the Great Patriotic War she was a head of a Children’s Home. Anastasiya Ivanovna was awarded the Anniversary Medal.

Natalya Petrovna Korshunova began her teachihg caree after finishing Teachers Training College in Moscow at school № 3. Natalya Petrovna is a high level teacher as well.

The next teacher dynasty of school number 3 is the Chugunovs. Svetlana Grigorjevna is a teacher of a primary school. She has been working at our school for about 27 years.

The Chugunov dynasty is only forming. Svetlana Grigorjevna’s daughter Julia entered Smolensk Teachers Training College and she’s come to work a teacher of Music to our school.

My surname is Alexeeva, but Mum’s surname was Alexandrova. It is one of the largest teather dynasties in our town called The Alexandrovs. The Alexandrov family moved to the town of Vyasma from Byelorussia in 1986. They were 4: a mother, Nina Petrovna, a father, Nickolay Ivanovich and their 2 daughters, Irina and Natalya.

Nina Petrovna, my granny, is a teacher of History. She has already been working as a teather for about 43 years. She is a pensioner but she is still working, because my grandmother Nina Petrovna is full of energy and optimism. She is a very good teather. Nina Petrovna has got a diploma of Byelorussian Ministry of Education and in 2007 she was awarded a badge “Honorary Worker of National Education”.

Nina Petrovna is a head-teacher of Form 5A.

My grandfather Nickolay Ivanovich is a teacher of Technology and Drawing. He doesn’t work at my school, he is a teacher of school number 1. He is such a skilled teacher that in 1997 he became a high level teacher.

He has “gold” hands because he can do different things using different tools, he is a perfect computer user too and he is a kind man. He likes his pupils and they like him.

My mother’s sister, the elder sister in The Alexandrov family, is Irina, but we, her students, call her Irina Nickolaevna because she is our Maths teacher.

She is a great specialist in Maths and she is a very strict teacher. But we know that she loves us and we love and respect her.

Of course I am proud of my granny, my granddad and my aunt but most of all I am proud of my mother Natalya Nickolaevna who is a teacher too.

She is a teacher of Tehnology and Drawing like my grandfather.

When I was a little girl I went to school with my mother attending her lessons. I watched her and I wanted my mother to be a favourite teather for the pupils. My mother is a high level teacher too. She got her category in 2004. My mother has her own study at school called “Russkaya Izba”.

Here she teaches her students to make different things. For example my mother is an authoress of a programme called “Frivolite”. Follow this programme my mother teathes her girls to make hand-made lace and trim different clothes with lace.

So there are 4 teathers in our family. I am the third generation of The Alexandrovs. And what do you think I am going to be? – Of course a teacher. But neither a teather of History or Maths nor a Tehnogy or Drawing teather. I am eager to be an English Teacher.

I began to think about my future profession at the age of 10. There are so many people who influence you in choosing your occupation. Parents and friends play a very important role in your choice. Teachers’ influence on pupils’ minds is also great. As for me I have made my choice about my future profession because of my teacher dynasty and my English teacher. Now I know well what I am going to do after leaving school. I want to be a teather of English. It is interesting because you work with the pupils, with the personalities.

My favourite subject is English. I understand the importance of a foreign language knowledge. My present teacher is a great specialist and also an attractive woman. Her name is Valentina Alexandrovna Zelentsova.

I want the pupils to like English. At our English lessons we read, write, sing songs, ask and answer different questions. Every day I improve my English reading books, translating sentences from Russian into English, reading English newspapers, looking through magazines and sometimes speaking to original Englishmen.

III. The materials about teachers’dynasties of Vyazma should be published.

I’ve told you about teacher’s dynasties of my school only but the number of teachers’ dynasties in Vyazma is really much more. My English teacher and I have written down the names of some dynasties. We’d like to publish the materials about these people because they give all their lives to children, they work for the future of our country.

And I advise teachers’ children to enter Teachers Institutes to continue their dynasties, to fall in love in this difficult but such a noble and useful profession.
