The objectives of the lesson:
elementary forms of greeting and farewell;
names of letters of the English alphabet;
transcription characters[ i:], [ e ]. [ai], [əu], [ju:], [a:];
pronouncing vowel sounds[er], [ i:], [ e ], [ai], [əu], [iu:], [a].
Exercise 1
a) Students look at the picture in the textbook. The teacher holds his book open and, pointing to the picture, asks: "Where are they?" If necessary, the teacher helps students should answer: "They are at school".The teacher points to the children in the picture and asks, " Who are they?" If necessary, the teacher helps students answer: "They are students".The teacher asks: "How old do you think the girl is? How old is the boy?" Students Express your point of view. The teacher accepts all student responses. The teacher must not tell students how old the children in the picture are, as they will find out themselves as a result of reading the dialog.
b) Students read the dialogue to themselves and check their semantic guesses . After checking the task, the teacher can work on the pronunciation and ask students can read the dialog on roles in pairs. It can also ask individual students read the dialog on roles in front of the entire class.
