Цель урока:

Расширение знаний об истории и традициях Великобритании, связанных с праздником “Хэллоуин”;

Задачи:

• активизировать применение лексики на тему “Halloween”;

• повысить мотивацию учащихся к изучению иностранного языка;

• развить творческие способности и фантазию, а так же познавательные интересы учащихся;

• воспитывать у учащихся чувство уважения к истории и культуре страны изучаемого языка.

4 действия

Действующие персонажи: друиды, ведьмы, привидения, «нечистая сила».

Scene 1

Druid1: Welcome to Halloween Party! In late October the days grow shorter and the nights grow longer. It’s colder and darker and cold winds blow. The year is ending and everything is dying.

Druid 2: The crops have been harvested and stored for winter. The season of the sun is dead. Halloween is the end of autumn and the start of winter.

Druid 3: Halloween! A time for games, fun and fortune-telling for ghosts stories and making mischief. At Halloween on October 31, millions of people celebrate a very old festival indeed.

Druid1: Men, called Druids, will lead the ceremonies. They are the Celtic priests and teachers.

Druid 2: Torches and torch-light processions have always been associated with Halloween, especially in Scotland and Wales.

Druid 1,2,3: Поют и танцуют со свечами и несут тыкву.

“Dingle, dingle dowsie, that cat’s in the well

The dog’s away to Berwick to buy a new bell”

Scene 2

Выбегают ведьмы, звучит песня “One of These Days”

Witches: Look out! Look out, boys and girls!

Clear the track! The witches are here!

We have all come back!

Танец ведьм – «Scorpions”

Witches: Sickness! Bad luck! Storms! Ruined crops!

(ведьмы колдуют над котлом)

In the cauldron boil and bake;

Eye of newt and toe of frog,

Wool of bat and tongue of dog,

Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting,

Lizard’s leg, of powerful trouble,

Like a hell- broth boil and bubble,

Double, double, toil and trouble.

Fire burn, and cauldron bubble!

Scene 3

Druid 1: Long ago people really believed in ghosts.

Ghosts, who had no homes had to walk around all night.

Привидения танцуют и поют:

A flash of white in the darkness,

Who-oo-oo?

Hoots the owl on the post;

A creak and a groan,

A squeak and a moon,

Ooo-oo-oo!

Comes the howl-

It’s a ghost!

Druid 2: Halloween became a great fortune telling night. People used magic tests to make the spirits tell their future, spirits tell us about what will happen in the year.

Друиды гадают

Druid 3: The bowl of clean water stands for much money. The dirty water could stand for little money and the empty bowl for no money at all.

Scene 4

Druid 1: In America the children play a special game at Halloween: “Trick or Treat”

На сцене появляется «нечистая сила»:

The sky is blue, the sky is green,

Have you got a penny for Halloween?

Halloween? Halloween?

Ghosts and witches can be seen.

Trick or Treat, Trick or Treat!

Give me something good to eat.

Trick or Treat, Trick or Treat!

Druid 2: Sometimes they come back again, knock at the door and run away. It’s all good fun and the evening ends with parties for children and grown-ups.
