Interesting places in our planet.

In our planet there are beautiful places of nature. For example Abkhazia is known as one of the most beautiful places in our planet.

But most of wonders were made by people. For example

Sirs-Tower

• This 110-storeyed skyscraper in Chicago, in the USA is the highest building in the world. The height of Sirs-Tower is 443 meters, that is 60 meters higher than Empire State Building in New York. The Skyscraper constructed by the company of Rebaka Sirs.

The building of Sydney Opera

• The roof of the building of Sydney Opera, makes it different from other buildings in the world. The roof was made from more than 2000 concrete combined teams, 350 kilometers of steel cables were kept together .

And of course we can not miss seven wonders of the world.

Ancient pyramids.

• Pharaohs were buried in pyramids. The great pyramid of Heops still exists in Giza, it is near the city of Cair, it is modern capital of Egypt.

TRAILING GARDENS of BABYLON.

• Trailing gardens were one of the most well-known wonders of the ancient city of Babylon. In spite of the fact that archeologists found ruins of the gardens, they can’t prove, that it was really the trailing gardens. But we know for sure that the gardens really existed, because people saw and described them.

THE ALEXANDRIA LIGHT HOUSE

• The light house was built in a small island called Faros in Mediterranean sea, near the coasts of Alexandria. This wonder was founded by Alexander the Great during his visit to Egypt.

RODOSS COLOSSUS

• We do not know for sure how the statue looked like and where it was. But we know that it was made of bronze and it was about 33 meters high.

• It was created by the sculptor Haretom and it took 12 years to build it.

• The bronze was above the iron skeleton. People started to build the hollow statue from its feet and as it grew, they filled it with stones to make it steady. The colossus was completed about 280 year before our century.
