IS A COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH SO EFFECTIVE IN TEACHING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE?

The article represents problems of using communication approach in teaching English. The author considers that modern teachers should use different methods of teaching. They must match with individual characteristics of students.

The main purpose of paper is to consider problems of effective using of communication approach. Important thing of this article is explanation of philosophical teaching principle of grounded eclecticism. Eclecticism (from the Greek eklego - to choose, to collect) is a combination of the incompatible, the using of dissimilar objects to create a new object of art.

It has found that practical aim of different methods of teaching.It promotes quality growth of language acquisition as a means of communication. Every teacher should to know and competently combine various methods and techniques of a communicative approach.

The following conclusions are drawn that you should not give up the achievements and classical teaching methods as well. Educators ought to consider the pros and cons of all techniques.
