Тема урока «Lead the way»

Тип урока:комбинированный

Цели урока:

Обучающие:

освоить во всех видах речевой деятельности новые лексические единицы по теме «внешность и характер»;

Освоить распознание и употребление в речи относительных местоимений и наречий;

совершенствование навыков поискового чтения с извлечением необходимой информации;

развитие критического мышления.

Развивающие:

развитие умения выказывать и аргументировать свою точку зрения;

развитие способности анализировать, сравнивать и систематизировать предлагаемый материал;

развитие способности к критическому мышлению.

Воспитательные:

воспитание толерантности;

формирование умения работать в коллективе;

воспитание уважения к собеседнику.

Оборудование•

компьютер, проектор, компьютерный медиапродукт – авторская презентация;

Методы: частично-поисковые, ТРКМ ;

Планируемые результаты:

• совершенствование навыков чтения;

• развитие творческих способностей;

• развитие навыков аудирования;

• развитие умений монологической и письменной речи.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент

Учитель и ребята приветствуют друг друга.. Look at the screen.You can see some pictures, try to guess what we are going to talk at our lesson.(Слайд 1)

(Учащиеся высказывают свои предположения)

Объявление темы урока. Работа с заголовком Lead the way! (слайд №1)

Прогнозирование содержания темы. Объяснить значение lead the way (show someone the way or be a role model for someone). Найти русский эквивалент (Покажи пример!)

- Excellent! Today we will speak about different hobbies and characters What does the word hobby mean? What does it mean to you? Do you have a hobby? What is it?

. We will read the text and of course we’ll have a grammar.

II.Фонетическая зарядка

Rock concerts shock pop icons,

Pop concerts shock rock icons

If rock concerts didn’t shock pop icons,

Would pop concerts shock rock icons

(The children are listening, repeating, reading one by one)

III. Актуализация лексики по теме.

Open your books at p.26, ex.1. Please, listen and repeat these words.

(Учащиеся слушают аудиозапись и повторяют слова за диктором)-2 раза

(На доске слайд, на котором написаны эти слова ) (Слайд 4)

Well done! And now you see these words at the screen. Could you tell me:

Which hobbies are popular with teens today?

What hobbies are popular in your family?

What hobbies did your parents use to have in their childhood?

Which of these hobbies are not popular with teenagers today?

Look at the screen, please. Here are qualities of the character (черты характера).Answer in my questions: “what qualities do you need to do different hobbies?”

But first of all, let’s repeat these words after me. (slide6)

Answers: you need to be fit to box.

You need to be artistic to play music

You need to be daring to skateboard.

You need to be patient to play chess.

You need to be athletic to play football.

You need to be sociable to play football.

You need to be curious to collect stamps.

You need to be imaginative to write songs.

You need to be determined to fencing.

Аудирование. Работа с таблицей.

So, children listen to three short texts and fill in the table. You are to fill in the name, occupation and hobby of a person. How often and how long does he do it? (слайд 7)

Учитель зачитывает 3 текста. Учащиеся воспринимают на слух и заполняют таблицу (слайд № 5) приложение 1.              

Ролевая игра

Учащиеся выбирают персонаж из предыдущего упр. и в парах обыгрывают ситуацию, задавая друг другу вопросы: What is your occupation? What is your hobby? How often do you do your hobby? When did you start your hobby?

IV. Работа с текстом

Open your books p.27. Read the title of the text and try to translate it.

P: American teens with drive!

Dear children, the word “drive” is multiple meaning words (Многозначное слово). “drive” means ambition or travel by car.(slide 9)

How do you think: “What is the text about?”.

Repeat the words and word expressions from the text. These words will help you to understand this text better. ( Приложение)

Let’s do ex.4 p.26 Listen to the text: Now let`s work with card 2.Please, could you read the sentences and decide if these statements are T (true) or F (false). Correct the false ones: (Слайд 8)

• Akiano`s favourite hobby is knitting. F

• Akiano doesn`t pay a lot of attention to details. F

• Akiano finished 60 paintings. F

• Some younger students tried out Raynece`s project. T

• Raynece`s project helped students to learn literature. F

• Esteban is in charge of a growing fashion empire. T

• Esteban recently showed his latest fashion collection in the UK. F

• Chase Austin loves fencing. F

• Chase Austin won a lot of awards. T

V . Физкультминутка

Now children let’s play the game “Mime and guess”. You show a hobby and others guess what is it.

VI. Grammar. Relative pronouns and adverbs.

Look at the board what relative pronouns and adverbs can you see?
