Тип урока: урок актуализации знаний и умений с элементами ролевой игры

Цели урока: - провести интервью с Аннабель и Сарой о впечатлениях городской и деревенской жизни

- активизировать употребление новой лексики по теме ‘A city mouse or a country mouse?’

Задачи урока

образовательные: - практиковать использование новых слов в речи

- формировать умение задавать вопросы к тексту

- развить навыки устной и письменной речи

воспитательные: -воспитать умение внимательно слушать и уважать чужое мнение

развивающие: -создавать условия для развития навыков спонтанной речи

-развивать творческие возможности учеников – представлять себя в новой роли и создавать необходимый образ

Оборудование: компьютер, проектор, экран

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент:

Teacher: ‘Hello everybody! Are you full of energy and ready to work?’

Pupils: ‘We’re OK and ready to work’ or ‘We’re are a little bit tired’.

1. Разминка (warm-up) (актуализация знаний, полученных на прошлом уроке).

Teacher: ‘Let’s remember our new words. Read them. На слайде даны слова и сл/соч по теме ‘A city mouse or a country mouse?’:

• peace and quiet

• fresh air

• lead healthy lifestyle

• feeling isolated

• close at hand

• facilities

• get homesick

• miss my town/my friends

• hustle and bustle of a city

• feed chickens

Teacher: ’Make up your own sentences or word combinations using these words and word combinations and write them down´.

Ученики составляют и записывают свои словосочетания и предложения, а затем произносят их в классе. Например, ‘to breath fresh air’, ‘ the shop is close at hand’, ‘I’ve never fed chickens in the country’, ‘My mother prefers peace and quiet in the country to constant noise in a city’.

1. Мотивационный этап.

Работа по тексту об Аннабель и Саре, подготовка к интервью.

Teacher: ‘Do you know what is ‘an interview?’

Pupils: ‘When a person answers journalist’s or somebody’s questions to inform an audience about himself or about his/her views on something, etc.

Teacher: ‘Do you remember what Annabel and Sarah have done and why?’

Pupils: ‘Annabel and Sarah have swapped their families and schools to find out the lifestyle in the city and in the country’.

1. Проведение интервью с Аннабель и Сарой

Teacher: ‘Today I’ve invited Annabel and Sarah in our school. They’ve already come. Now we have an interview with these girls’.

Перед учениками появляются ученицы, разыгрывающие Аннабель и Сару.

(Заранее ученицам было дано задание хорошо проработать текст (с.7) и рассказать каждой о своей героине и ее новом образе жизни, а также впечатлениях об этом образе жизни).

Teacher: ’Please, think of the questions to Annabel and Sarah about their small experiment and their attitude to the life in a city and in the country. Then ask Annabel and Sarah your questions.’

Начинается интервью, в ходе которого ученики спрашивают учениц, играющих роли Аннабель и Сары, о жизни в деревне и городе.

Примерные вопросы и ответы:

Pupil 1: ‘Annabel, how did you feel in the country?’

Annabel: ‘It was interesting. I milked the cows and fed the chickens, but I can’t stand the smell of the animals’.

Pupil2: ‘Annabel, would you like to live in the country?’

Annabel: ‘I think, I wouldn’t. It’s too quiet in the country and I felt isolated there. I prefer a city: the streets are crowded but you have everything at hand’.

Pupil3: ‘Sarah, do you like Annabel’s school?’

Sarah: ‘Yes, I enjoyed the lessons in Annabel’s school, but most of all I love the facilities’.

Pupil3: ‘Well, why didn’t you stay in the city and come back home?’

Sarah: ‘I don’t like the noise of the city and I got a bit homesick. I missed my hometown. That’s why I couldn’t stay in the city.’

1. Подведение итогов интервью, выставление оценок, рефлексия, объяснение домашнего задания.

Teacher: ‘Thank you, Annabel and Sarah for the interview. I think our pupils were pleased to meet you and found out your opinion about a lifestyle in the country and in a city’.

1. Home assignment:

Teacher: ‘At home I ask you to write an essay ‘Advantages and disadvantages of the life in a city and in the country’ (100-120 words).

Teacher: ‘Our lesson is over. Goodbye!’
